How to remove tilt lever and cover?
Hi,
So I've read here on the forum that the tilt lever is removed by turning couter clockwise? Is this correct, I cannot get this thing to budge. I have 2 columns and can't seem to get it off of either one.
Also how do you remove the cover that goes around the tilt and multifunction lever? I can't seem to figure out how it comes off, is there a trick to getting that off?

Re: How to remove tilt lever and cover?
I'll keep trying on the levers, they must just be really tightened down.
I had to go back out and look at the column again, I didn't mean to include the mutlifunction lever.
But the tilt lever appears to have cover that comes off, see pic.
Does this piece come off?
I need to fix the high beam linkage and I think it's all behind this cover. I really hope I don't have to disassemble the entire column to fix this

Re: How to remove tilt lever and cover?
So is the whole tilt lever supposed to unscrew from the column? Or does just the end come off? On my parts column, I finally tried some vice grips on it, and the end came off.
That left an exposed metal piece, and I tried twisting that and it just started to bend. the part that goes into the actual column does not twist at all.
Is that right?
