What are these connectors for?

Hi there,

Recently i bought a 1984 Camaro RS, with a 305 engine put in and a TH700 automatic transmission.

The car was quit a puzzle to me, the previous owner got fed up with it and stopped halfway into his project of making it into wat he wanted.

I allready solved some of the puzzle pieces, concerning the transmission and fuel lines and stuff, because of the conversion.

Right now i am busy rebuilding the interior, and i come across some connectors that i dont know where to put..

Are they options that the car does not have?
Did they used to plug into the TH350 transmission shifter that used to be in there?

I made some pictures, i hope you guys can help me
Thanks, Cleotiz

And these 2.
I suspect they may have something to do with the electric trunk unlock.

Ok, I'd like to help you but am a little confused at the moment:

You mention a swap, a TH700, and a TH350-my question is:

Does the car currently have a 700R4 (automatic w/overdrive) transmission or a TH350(3-speed automatic, no overdrive) transmission?

Re: What are these connectors for?

It would also help if your photos showed the color of the wires attached to those connectors and the approximate location of where the connectors are located (console, left side of dashboard, etc.).

It currently has a 700r4 with overdrive, it used to have a 350 without overdrive.
I can not make any new pictures now, because i am not with the car, but all connectors come out of the space underneath the shift lever.

Re: What are these connectors for?

The first one on the second post looks like the E-brake light & the second looks like a power seat connector.

The angles on first post makes hard to tell what those are.

Re: What are these connectors for?

Thanks guys, so far.

I made a couple of pictures this time, which might clear things up a bit.

A lot of electrical issues with this car anyways.
There is power on the red wire that goes to the fuse box, but next to that i have no power what so ever, wether i have the ignition on or off, no diffrence.

When i make a bridge in the empty slot (in the fuse box, where there is no fuse) i have power everywhere and power windows and everything seems to work.
But also no diffrence when i have ignition on or off.

:P
All help is welcome, thanks guys!

Re: What are these connectors for?

The first thing I bought when I got my '84 was the shop manual. It has all the wiring diagrams you need to help straighten things out. Well worth the cost, available on eBay.

Thanks for the advice man,
I purchased a Haynes repair manual as soon as i got the car.
Though i am not exactly an expert reading those diagrams, they helped me a little, so far.
The connectors that i took pictures of are not described in those wiring diagrams, only the wires themselves and the fuses.

I think you are right about the second picture.
That connector comes from underneath the carpet where the driver seat is supposed to sit.
The first connecter i have to test, i hope you are right

Re: What are these connectors for?

The first pic looks like it would've gone to the radio. The middle looks to be the neutral safety switch.
Somebody really mucked with it.83 was the last yr for the turbo 350,Half way thru 83 GM drop it & started using the 700r4.

Ik know man,
It doesn't have the original engine also, i hope i can get it running and everything working like it should.
The car dident drive for 20 years!!
Looks like i've fixed the ignition switch problem though.

Where to put the neutral safety switch?
Any idea what the third connector is for?
Thanks so far!

Neutral safety sw. mounts on the shifter.Unsure of 3rd pic, maybe unused option.
