LT1 swap - manifolds

I'm going to be doing the LT1 swap in in the next month and have a question.

I want to get the hedman longtubes coated from that vendor that advertises, but I also need to get a crossmember and possibly the torque arm with it from Spohn.

My question is can I hook the factory lt1 manifolds up to my 3rd gen crap y-pipe until I get my headers?

Understand it would be TEMPORARY.

your old engines exhaust manifolds will fit onto the LT1 just fine, i dont think the lt1 manifolds line up with the 3rd gen y pipe

How many o2 sensors are there with the lt1 though?

If its only one I guess I'm all set!

I guess I just need to bite the bullet then and get the headers. If I'm going to pay to weld on an o2 bung it might as well be on some long tubes.

Re: LT1 swap - manifolds

Old thread but, what exhaust manifold gaskets are used w/ the 3rd gen exhaust manifolds when bolted up to the LT1? Do I get the LT1 D-port shaped ones or 3rd gen gaskets?
