LT1. Had tunercat failure while programming, am i screwed?
Alright. I was trying to narrow down why the LT1 was not starting. Fuel Pump works, everything is wired up, just no go. I was thinking maybe something else in the pcm has to be shut off for my setup (LT1 with 700R4, no vats, no egr, no A/C at the moment, etc.) Haven't checked for spark yet.
Anyways, about the forth time ever on programming the pcm (2nd time for today), tunercat freezes up. I have the newest version of tunercat, my computer is reliable, i didn't bump/touch anything.
So, what's my best solution? Contact the local GM dealer to fix it? Contact PCMS4LESS? Or get a new pcm? Any info would be nice.

Found a little info on tunercat. I don't have the newer version. A new tuner 2.10 and $EE def file version BK came out with bug fixes. I didn't get these new versions yet...
I had this happen once. I tried to shutdown a load but was too late, it had already started loading the new tune. Turned the key and it would crank but nothing else. I ended up grabbing a buddy's PCM and plugging it in to make sure it was the PCM and nothing else, sure enough it fired right up. I disconnected his and plugged mine back in and it too started right up, I think it just needed a reset by disconnecting the power.
I tried reseting the pcm, still no read or write. So soldered the sockets for the flash chips onto the pcm that i got from the kit from madz28.com. Didn't get it to read/write until i cleaned my solder connections with iso-alcohol.
Also, found out why the car wasn't starting. Tracked down a wire for the ignition control module that was cut because of the LT1's former car's accident. After that was fixed, LT1 started right up.
