I'm running Hedman 68479 painted headers and their y-pipe. They are made specifically for the angle plug heads, have d-ports but do not have any provisions for the O2 sensors. You will have to buy bungs and have them welded in.

Yes, you can run stock Caprice exhaust manifolds. You'll need a custom Y pipe though.

I'm running slp 1 3/4" headers that I opened up to match my ported heads. I think that these probably fit better then most if you are willing to do a little work to make them match perfectly.

I am running the same headers as Klortho but mine are ceramic coated. I had a custom Y-pipe made and put the O2 sensors in the Y-pipe. The only problem I had with the headers is that the back tube on the passenger side just barely touched the plastic heater box and melted it just a little. It wasn't enough to mess anything up. It was just enough to smell it melting the first day or so.

I'm using slp headers too. I also got the slp y pipe, it made my install a bit easier.

I'm running FlowTech 11116 headers (the ones set up for angle plug heads). Not a lot of fun to install, but that was mostly because of the weird EGR fitting I welded on, combined with having the engine mounts backwards.

As far as I know, anything that'll fit on a 1st gen small block (i.e. 305 or 350's used in our cars) with angle plug heads will also fit on the LT1.

Re: LT1 swap, cant use stock headers?

I have the 68470s on my engine right now...no D ports and not sure about the angle plug business.

I'd like to see a picture of them installed with a y-pipe. I had the manifolds on and I seem to remember one of the sides was pretty close to the k-member.

My headers & Y-pipe will fit as long as you don't need AIR tubes.

Very nice. How much do they cost?
