putting lq9 in 88 formula few ?'s

ok so i picked up a lq9 out of a 2001 or 2002 truck that i was gonna use to build a stout motor for my twin turbo silverado ss. i decided to yank the 406 out of the bird and go a little more modern. i also have an extra computer from my truck since i bought one to do tuning on. and i also have a 4l65e that i pulled out and had one built for the truck. so i have quite a few parts already to do the conversion. i look at alot of the sites for a wiring harness and this is where i start to get a little confused. its stating that i need to use a 99 or newer camaro pcm why is this? also i saw where if i was to use my 4l65e which came out of a awd vehicle ill need a different tailhousing and shaft what year do u suggest for this? i also have an extra walbro 255lph pump that i didnt use for my truck build.. for most of u did u go with the speartech harness or make your own or the painless wiring harness? ive done a lot of reading on this subject but havent found a lot of guys that are running the lq9 truck motor. so i have the basics motor trans which are the most expensive part just need the nickle and dime stuff now!! i already have efilive for tuning so that wont be an issue either.. any help that u guys can give me would be great!! thanks

jamie

after doing some more digging i found that most are using a pcm out of a 99 camaro but i dont see a difference between my truck pcm and the one i seen pictured. also is it easier to do a drive by wire or etc? my thoughts are that my pcm i have will work i just have to reprogram it..
