Need a new LS1 swap basics sticky

The one we have now is a mess - outdated information, dead links, a bunch of bickering.

I'm hoping someone would be willing to write one up, or copy out the useful information from the existing, or a couple of you collaborate on an article, etc. Email or PM me the text (I'd rather do it that way, than have half a dozen new threads started and have to pick & choose, merge, etc.), then the "good" scoop could be put into a new thread and "stuck" and unstick the one we have now. It would be a closed thread, so any updates would need to be PM'd to a mod.

Another sticky on the differences between LS1's, LSx's, truck LSx's, model designations, etc., would also be good information to have handy.

Would appreciate the help.

Re: Need a new LS1 swap basics sticky

I started one this summer thinking the exact same things as you. The sticky here sucks. I'll email you what I have later
