LS swap keeping Ram air?

Anyone see any problems if i were to get a hood like http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/in...ROD&ProdID=120
And use ram air for the intake on a LSx swap? I don't see any problems....
I know i can do a real CAI by moving the battery, just though this might be an interesting option.

Re: LS swap keeping Ram air?

The air box that comes with the hoods have a small outlet the size of a stock 3rd gen mass airflow. I have been thinking about trying to modify mine to work but not sure if the air filter flows enough.

Re: LS swap keeping Ram air?

that's what i needed to know. Do you know the diameter of the outlet on the air box? What's the approximate length/with of the air box?

I didn't get a chance to take mesurements last night but I think the hose to conect it is laying hear and the inside of that mesures 3 and 1/4 and I belive you need around a 4 inch for the ls1.
