How much weight will I gain or loss swaping in an ls1? Then if was planning on adding a bmr k member and was wondering how much of a benefit you see? Is it even worth buying for the weight savings? I'll be running prostars at the track so that will lightin up some rotating weight.

I'm relatively sure that a true LS1 swap is worth 130 to 140lbs just for the motor. Do a tubular crossmember, coil overs, hood, and Baer brakes - that would be another 75 to 90 lbs.
My swap was 3240 on CAT certified scals (truck stop). 6.0 iron block, stock Kmember,700r4,10 bolt, stock iroc wheels. The only things missing were front sway bar, rear seats and AC hope this helps
