LT1 steam pipe temp?

Anyone have any idea how hot the steam pipe is that runs from the back of the heads to the TB?

I wanted to use SS braided lines similar to a carb fuel line setup... would it be too hot or is it ok? some lines i see are good up to 300 to 400F.

Re: LT1 steam pipe temp?

It will get as hot as any other hose in the cooling system... rad hoses, heater hoses, etc.. maybe a few degrees higher, just because of location, but not much more.
