LT1 carb swap I got a few questions

I have a few questions swapping an lt1 to a carb.

When looking for a manifold is the bolt pattern the same as the 86+ heads?

What do you do with the opti when you go HEI?

Dose an lt1 have timing tabs?
Thanks

I dont belive just any intake will work bolt patter diffirent Jegs/ Summit has one just the LT1 carb combo.

You will get rid of the opti all together fab up something to cover up the hole or GM offers one to cover it up.

Most people that I have seen go to carb use the ATI balancer.

IMHO unless the motor is missing the FI set up you are better off with the FI or stay gen 1 and you have a lot more head and intake options.

I just assumed that if people use LT1 intakes on their TPI motors does anybody know of any other intake manifolds other than the GM performance parts one.

No, you have to use the GMPP manifold, I believe there is another company that makes one also. it would be easier to keep it EFI and cheaper if you have all the parts.
