LS1 Motor Mounts

I read somewhere on this site that the transdapt 4572 plates would allow us to use the factory mounts to swap the ls1 in. Well we are WAY off. What do we need to get to make it work?

Re: LS1 Motor Mounts

Here's what i found when i put them in mine:

http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/lt...questions.html (LS1 Mounting Questions)

No go, scrapped the mounts, bought LS1 clamshells, and fabricated horseshoe brackets

Re: LS1 Motor Mounts

It Depends. Like i posted in there, there was interference with the k-member.

Theres 2 ways of fixing this.

1. Move the thirdgen clamshells back on the k-member 1".
2. Extend your driveshaft 1" and notch the K.

Look at "Maxxmitchell"'s swap thread on LS1tech. He used them, and notched his K.

Try to mount them, let me know what your situation comes out as, if you cant see a way of getting them to fit, ill fabricate some horseshoe brackets for you
