wow.. I like that color! You can't even tell its the same car from your first thread. Are you leaving the badges off? Kinda stealth like.

I'll be adding custom badges once i get the final color sand and buff taken care off.

Staying with the "ZR1 theme" I picked up a set of these badges:

That paint job looks really good, it's hard to believe that those pics were taken with a phone...

Not real sure about the badges though - on the one hand, they look pretty decent - but OTOH, it could make you look like a Corvette "wannabe"...

Damnit. I was hoping to be one of the first to paint my car that color but I guess not now..

Looks good though. But you need some custom wheels to finish the car off now. Not some off the shelf wheels.

Excellent! Where does the rear spoiler come from? That's the exact one I've wanted for several years now.

Hawks 5 inch spoiler, pretty pricey and needs some work to fit correctly. I would think it would be a simple bolt on for the price but I still love it.

For the good news, the car pulled 362 rwhp on the dyno the first pull and after a few pulls it made 395 rwhp and 395 rwtq. My tuner did a great job, every pull made 10 more horsepower and the car runs like if it was a stock until you go WOT!!!!

Will post the dyno sheet soon. I'm going to make some changes which should get it over 400rwhp

Any comparison with those logo's and the ones from Emblempro's? I know the ones from Emblempro's are stainless with blue acrylic, they look very high quality.

The pictures dont do it justice. It looks really good in person. You'll love it. Post up when finished.

I am curious, what paint code did you use for that color? Every picture I see on the net of that color on cars it didn't come on, it looks different. In your pictures it looks very similar to the stock gun metal my car came in. In some others it looks like a glossy primer style gray. On the C6 vettes I have seen in person (that were painted in the color from the factory) it looks exactly like the color I want it to be. I just wonder if there are different paint codes for it or maybe it needs the right color primer laid down first?

I researched and spoke to a lot of people before I went with this paint, I even went to a dealer, checked and double checked the paint codes.

These are the cyber grey paint codes:
WA637R
57U,
or the PPG paint code is: 920131

Oh and according to paint shop, there are specific base primer colors for Cyber Grey but I dont know the specifics since they spoke to PPG directly.
That picture is exactly the color I am wanting and is pretty much how I have seen it in person on stock cars. I am just worried that somehow it will turn out to be different than I want and pretty similar to the color my car already was.

In person it looks nothing like any other silver out there. I had my painter buy a pint first and spray a side mirror. I then took the side mirror to the dealer to compare it to a showroom cyber grey C6.

In a few weeks I’ll get some quality shots and videos of the completed product w/wheels, badges, tint, and final polish.

How did it look compared to the factory painted CG? If you could, I would LOVE to know what primer and paint lines you used that way I can get as close to the factory color as possible.

Wheels are 18 x 9.5 with 40mm offset running 1.25 inch spacer and the way around. The tires are 285/35/18 in the rear and 275/35/18 in the front. I could have fit 295's in the rear but i wanted to make sure i had absolutely NO RUBBING!! I'll snap some pics of the rear for you but I really need a better camera.

Hey, I have the same dash swap, and am trying to figure out what to do about front speakers... If I get those Q-Logic kick panel speakers, would they interfere with my clutch pedal? Yours does't really seem to show much interference at all, but pics are hard to tell.

The new model Q-logic kick panles interfere less than previous models. It's not too bad based on the fact that I haven't kicked them or damaged them while rowing through the gears. I rest my foot(size 9.5) on the panels and have gotten use to it plus the component speakers sound ten times better than the dash mounted 4x6's

Quick update i'm waiting on OE Wheels to produce these wheels in18x9.5s

Well thanks, that's good to know. My foot size is 12, but hopefully that wont really matter? It's 4:10 AM, and I JUST got in from putting my 4th gen dash pad on. Sucks working nights

As for the wheels. They look good. I cannot decide what rims I want. I have a pair of 17x8.5 Irocs, and a pair of 17x9.5 ZR1s, I was really considering the C6 Z06 wheels. I cannot decide. Your car is one of the very few I have seen with them and it looks good.

Dude your car color is exactly the same shade of grey I want for my car! Except I'm getting either Magnesium 18 inch Vette wheels or 18 inch torqlites I'm still debating on what's the lighter wheel. Your car is awesome.

What mods did you do, besides tuning, to get 395/395 on the dyno. Car looks great too. I love the C6 wheels. Most aftermarket wheels are to busy for me. Good job. Later, Dean

Those magnesium wheels are nice and I believe they are the lightest vette wheels.

My first post on this thread has the build thread, (My 1983 Z28 H.O. gets LS1/T56 transplant (Write up and pics.) Pretty much Patriot Stage II heads, TR224/224 cam, Hawks Headers(which) scrap everywhere, LS6 intake and supporting bolt ons exhaust, fuel pump, etc.

When I dynoed only had one of the fans hooked up manuall so the engine was at 200+ degrees with outside temp at 90ish also had old fuel that was sitting for a couple of months and bad IAT heat soak. Hoping to get some more ponies when i redyno in a few weeks.

Also, I have some updated pics that I'll post soon for those interested in the color dynamics.

BTW, i went through 3-4 T5's while making half the power i'm making now.

Thanks man, no burn outs though. The rear tires are kinda wide so it's hard to keep the back fenders clean. Tell me about the low exhaust, you would think that for $800+ headers they wouldn't scrap everywhere!!

Drop in an LS1 in your Iroc, they're getting cheaper these days.

Did you go with the 3" collectors? I've heard the 2.5's have better ground clearance.
Anyways.......my monitor tastes funny.....

Car is gorgeous man. Love it.

Sorry forgot to reply, yes terrible ground clearance with the 3inch collectors, I'm running the eibach sportlines and 275/35/18's up front. I might move up to a taller tire because I'm afraid of banging up the exhaust too bad.

Your car looks nice, any track times?

Jetsream blue looks great on the new vettes and I'm sure would look good on a 3rd gen, GM really stepped it up on their metallic colors. Post some pics when its done.
