Anyone know of any diagrams and/or a complete list of parts associated with an LS1? I searched through LS1Tech and found some diagrams but they dont show everything. I mainly want to find out what the big threaded hole is for on the drivers side of the engine. It's a fair sized hole, I'd say 1 3/8" in diameter with threads. Looks like a block heater would go there, but I am unsure as I cannot find anything about block heaters on LS1Tech. Can I use a plug to screw into it maybe? Rubber expansion plug maybe? I will try and get a pic tomorrow if nobody knows what I am talking about.
If it's an LS1 , it won't be a block heater. Now if it's an iron truck block, it very well could be. My 6.0 had a block heater on it and it was on the driver side. Get a picture so we know what we're looking at.
