LS1 Computer and Wiring Questions

Guys, One question as it relates to the stock wiring in a third gen; do you leave and retain the stock ecm and wiring harnesses coming from under the right side? My understanding is that the new LS ecm and harness replaces ALL functions for the motor and the drivers side stock harness that appears to tie into the fuse box is for all accesories???

Re: LS1 Conversion price lists here

Answers to this an other unrelated questions hijacked in to this thread found in the FAQ at the top of this forum.

So easy to find a person capable of an ls1 swap could do it.

There, now it's its own thread and no longer a hijack.

It's a "sticky", not FAQ. In the top section of this forum.

The whole ECM under the passenger side dash can go along with all that wiring coming out of it and up through the passenger fender. By the way that connector under the dash that used to plug in to the PCM can be used to trip relays if you want.
leave the drivers side stuff

Re: LS1 Computer and Wiring Questions

Aaron,

That helps a ton! I was confident on all the issues except the mess (in my mind) of the wiring. I really appreciate you taking the time to help!
