ebay harnesses

well i'm not having much luck finding a used ls1 harness, so i am thinking about going with a new one off ebay. just wondering if anyone on here has any experience with the ebay harnesses? they of decent quality? found two sellers, both in the $300 range, for the basic harness anyway. just kinda curious what you guys think. thank, nick.

Re: ebay harnesses

Check on Ls1tech

I know a few guys have tried them. You *might* be better off having someone build you a conversion harness rather than just buying a stand alone harness

Just depends on how much you want to spend

good luck with it

Re: ebay harnesses

I used a stand alone harness with great success.

Re: ebay harnesses

SERIOUSLY man - ebay harnesses are pretty "hit or miss". Sometimes you'll see someone talking about a good one they've gotten, but it seems that just as often you hear people b!tching about 'em.

Personally, I bit the bullet & bought a new harness to modify myself from GM, but if that doesn't appeal to you, your next-best option is probably to buy one from a vendor that's known to be reputable (hint: Speartech has built a really good reputation).

(EDIT: I'd agree with the previous person who suggested looking on LS1Tech - a bit earlier this afternoon I posted that I was looking for LS-series F-body exhaust manifolds, now I have two sets to choose from...)

Good luck.

If you go to the f-body ls1 tab you'll see 3 different wiring harnesses. The first one does not have wiring for the transmission, the second one is for use with a 4L60E trans, and the third harness is for using the t-56. I bought their harness as well, it looks very professional and the only complaint I have is that I wish they made the diagnostic connector long enough to reach the driver side dash.

I have my eye on them, too. Let us know how that works out. I'm short one PCM & harness for my projects, so if this is any good, it would do me well.

Hey five7, is the harness the same for all years of the ls series engines? will the ls1 harness work with you lq4?

If the seller matches the connectors and programs like he says he will, it should.

People use LS1 harness/PCM on LQ4's all the time.
