Opti Spark Problems

I keep having Problems with my 1993 LT1 Firebird Formula and getting it to keep running. I have already replaced my distributor with a brand new one and it ran great for about 4 weeks or so. I tested it with the latest scanner out and my ECM shot a code 16 out. That code means that either my wire harness is shot or my distributor again... My next step is to change the wire harness. If that doesnt work then obviously it is the Distributor. My question is how do you keep the Distributor in good condition, this is my second one out the door, I have a brand new MSD vaccumed cap and roter. Please help, I am very frustrated with this car.

Re: Opti Spark Problems

Seems like anything other than AC Delco opti is a hit and miss may last and may not even start the car.
What I did on mine was take it apart loctite the rotor screws, then run a thin bead of " blue glue" around it. That helps keep the moisture out.
