Do I have the right fuel pump for my LS1?

I have a Walbro gss340m fuel pump. On the box it says it puts out 43.5psi. The LS1 requires 58psi. I bought the pump from Hawks, ment for an LSx swap. Did I get the wrong part, or do I not understand how fuel systems work? I understand how the fuel pressure regulator works, but I thought the fuel pump would have to put out enough pressure also.

I start my swap in a few days. I want to have the right parts when I start. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

That pump is fine. You shouldnt have an issue.

Upgrade your wiring to it though. I've killed 3 pumps because I didnt bother to upgrade the wiring. Ive since moved to an inline pump.
