The lokar piece I have now isn't secured to anything, the last 2 inches take some good force to push the stick in, and when you check the level it's very unclear if you're on or off the mark....

I'm just waiting to hear from somebody with a thirdgen and the stock GM piece that it fits our engine bay - and off to get my wallet I'll be.

How much bending anyway? That tci piece doesn't look half bad. Maybe a pic of it installed? I searched your swap thread and couldn't find anything.

Yeah, Jay used that on my car too, it's crappy, can't tell where it is filled to, it flops around, isn't attached to anything, and the little O-ring seals roll off and keep the stick from sealing.....I hate it.

Ug. I'm trying to forget...

I'm thinking now about getting the dipstick from a 04 GTO. It comes out in a nice spot back where the stock 700r4 one did. I'm going to the dealer tomorrow to get part #s/order. We'll see if they'll price match sdparts I'll post up the part #s regardless.

I haven't test fit this yet, but plan to in the coming weeks. The part #s for an 04 GTO transmission dipstick and tube are:
92057977 - indicator
92159815 - tube

I'm running a 4l60E but with a 355 SBC. Anyways using the 700R4 dipstick and tube for the 4l60E. Not sure this is what you are asking.
