VATS questions

i put an lt1 in my 86 camaro from a 94 caprice 9c1. i have the whole harness from in a 94 lt1 car hooked to my lt1, (however the only fuses in the in-car fuse block is the Pass-key) but the VATS module is from a 94 roadmaster that uses a resistor key. i have been trying to find a 9c1 vats module to hopefully solve my problem ( i accidently scrapped the caprice parts car i was using before i was certain i had everything-oops!). i was wondering if my motor will start if i touch the resistor feed and return to the proper resistor from a key(how many different resistors are there 4 the pass-keys?) . Most important though, i think its the vats that is the problem and am not sure. i have power to everything in my engine harness but the injectors arent coming on and i have no spark- if i am wrong please let me know.

Re: VATS questions

I am almost positive your injector problem is due to your VATS issue, not sure about the spark problem though. I haven't checked it out myself, but you could look into getting a VATS bypass module. Check out Hawks.

I think Ecklers Camaro has them cheeper, but I'n not sure.

Sorry I couldn't be more help. Hope this gets you on the right track.
