LT1 ECT sensor

trying to get my idle tuned in on my new LT... yes it is in a thirdgen

and i noticed i cracked the end off the ECT sensor with that stupid looking donkey dong... now i havent got any codes and the engine isnt running well enough to tell if and how this is affecting it

i guess my question is the ECT sensor is the one near the waterpump cover right? points straight in at the engine

the connector is a 2 pin weather pack

Re: LT1 ECT sensor

I can never remember. There are 2 coolant sensors though, I believe one for the gauges and one for the computer. One is in the drivers side head, other is in the water pump.

For things like this, its best just to remove the part and take it with you to your local auto parts store to compare.
