3rdgen LT1 Cruise functioning cruise

I have my swap done on my car and I removed the vss buffer and just hooked the speed output from my 94-95 LT1 PCM to the speedo and cruise control wires under the passenger side dash where that buffer once resided. As you might expect the cruise doesn't like the same 4k pulse as the speedo. Cruise works just fine up to about 54mph but no higher. Does the LT1 PCM have a 2k pulse output for cruise or is the LT1 cruise a 4k pulse. Anyone else running cruise control on their LT1 swaps. What did you do to get it to work.
