baby cammed ls1 went 12.0x's with no real tune, and got near 20mpg. 6.0...who knows. i'd be content with an 11.0 car on motor. i'm going to go with a real cylinder head this time around, and try to get all my specs perfect. i gotta buddy helping me with it that has a 3700lbs daily that runs 10.7x's on a 347 cube motor, all motor, and still knocks down 18+mpg.
well, for now anyways...don't really have the money to actually build it yet...just enough to get the engine to the house, break it down, and send it to the machine shop. i'll keep ya posted though (which i know you already knew that )
I'm going to build something similar next year, are you going to stroke it too? I'm in the planning stages of a carbed 408 with trick flow heads, my goal is low to mid 10's N/A on pump gas.
