LSx w/ thirdgen cruise? - Third Generation F-Body Message Boards

Maybe I'm missing something here because it's been a couple months since I went over the wiring but as long as a vss signal is given to the thirdgen cruise control module; Can't I just hook a cable to the TB and it'll work like factory? If so, what cable? A thirdgens end is too long with respect to the mounting clip. Maybe I have to make another bracket?

not sure how you'd get the thirdgen one to work, but i have the cruise module with the throttle cables and everything off a fourth gen sitting in the garage if you need it. pm me if you're interested. i just got it before i knew i would end up going dbw and i cant use it now.

Thank you. However, I never get rid of the thirdgen cruise and actually hooked the spare vss signal wire up to the stock harness and get activation while in motion. Hoping I can just hook a cable to the TB and rocknroll...

have you checked to see if a non-tc 4th gen cruise cable will work? i would think it would work if you could get the cruise module end of it to mate to the 3rd gen module. hmm, i have both in the garage, i might have to go take a look at them and see if you could just get the 4th gen cruise throttle cable to go with the third gen cruise module.

I started on that a while back. I enlarged the slot on the bracket that goldsthe throttle cable and cruise cable. Fit great. I gave up on it and will have to get an original bracket to hook up the typical 4th gen cruise cable. I'll swap you brackets if you want - will work with the 3rd gen cruise and a 4th gen throttle. Just Pm me.
