I am trying to get everything buttoned up on my motor this week so my tuner can come over on Saturday for a test fire, and I thought I had the pcv setup down pat when I went over to my friend's house who has an LS1 and looked at his. His LS1 had a nipple on the driver side valve cover, which ran a hose behind the intake to another nipple on the back end of the passenger side valve cover, and then a 2nd nipple on the passenger side cover (front end) ran to a catch can then to an outlet on the intake manifold right behind the throttle body. Looked simple...Then I went back to my block and noticed my passenger side valve cover has only ONE nipple on it, the forward most one that goes to the catch can. So now I'm not sure what you're supposed to do with truck motors/valve covers. What do you run to the driver side valve cover? I did see an outlet on the intake on the drivers side, about symmetrical to the outlet on the passenger side. Are you supposed to run a hose from the intake all the way to the back end of the driver side cover, and then just run the one hose from the passenger side cover to a catch can and back into the intake?

No need. LS engines are vented internally between the banks so you only need to vent ( PCV ) one side. There are many variations of valve covers so not to worry your good to go with what you have... Although that catch can looks like the Home Depot special which i have read doesnt really work to well.
As for the brass nipple behind the throttle body? Its there for some emission related job I just plugged mine with a rubber hose and bolt.
So I can plug the nipple on the driver side, or should I put a breather filter on it?
And which outlet did you think was for emissions, the one on the passenger side of the TB or the one on the manifold on driver side? Then what's the other one for? LoL
And yea, I just got the catch can last night at Home Depot. I know other people running this and have zero problems with it, plus when I did a google search for it being used as a pcv can, I found that a LOT of other non-fbody people are using it too, so it can't be that bad

You need to let air into the engine. That's what the nipple on the TB is for.
Both banks should have "flow", not just "vented to". Filtered air from the TB nipple into the covers, vacuum on the valley cover via the catch can sourced from the nipple on the intake (which you have hooked up). Examples: http://www.mikenorrismotorsports.com...atch_Cans.html
Ok I see one line going to where I have mine on the intake and the other line looks like it goes UNDER the TB and goes...where? And which one is in and which one is out flow? And then what hooks up to the valve covers and the nipple on the TB?
Can you tell that this has been a frustrating part of my swap lol.
