UMI LS mounts
Anyone else using the UMI mounts that Hawks sells? I got my engine installed and it appears to me that the engine and trans are forward about 1" from where the trans "used to be" mounted. I'm currently modding my nice Spohn trans cross member to rebolt my trans about 1" forward. Is it common for stock mounts to move it forward?

I don't recall anyone saying they've used them, but just looking at the pic on UMI's site, looks like they are of the 1" forward type. Would be nice if they stated that, though.

Re: UMI LS mounts
Well I have everything reinstalled and it now only appears that it moved about 1/2" forward. I can also report that my Hawks 2" primary tube LSX swap headers are mounted up and clear everything (after I had to cut on my passenger side bellhousing of my TH350 trans). The drivers side went in with no effort at all, and only had one area to trim for the passenger side to fit in perfect too. I am using a PA Racing tubular k-member so im sure that is another reason I have tons of room. The O2 sensors are installed and are angled perfectly to clear inside the tunnel.

Re: UMI LS mounts
Are you referring to our aluminum #2323 mounts or part #2406 LS adapter amounts? Either item is not designed to move the engine and is designed to keep it in factory location.
If this is an LS swap in a 3rd gen with factory k-member and oil pan is hitting the crossmembers do need cut to clear.
Thank you,
Ryan
