Hey guys,

Swapping in a 5.3 and 4l60e and bought a set of fourth gen trans lines and curious if any of you are using them? I am going to hook them up to an ls1 radiator / external cooler. Need routing advice or any photos of them on a third or fourth gen as a reference. The only complication I'd that I am using an aje racing kmember. Not sure if it will be in the way.

I'd use an6 lines since the cooler is in the mix, otherwise I'd stick to 3rd gen lines. 4th gen lines fit with a little bending

Do the third gen lines snap in at the trans? Will they have to be adapted at least on the feed line going into the ls1 radiator? Unfortunately I have some fourth gen ones already that I got from hawks. They said they normally use those and cut the ends off and hook to the external cooler only... I let my original third gen ones go already.

Use them then. It'll work cutting the ends off, just look funny mixing hard line and rubber

Yes agreed. I might get a tubing bender and see if I can get them closer so there will be a minimum of it and at least hide the ugly. Haha.

You can steel hard line unbent at the store for a couple of bucks and bend your own.

Yeah that's an idea, how about making the ends that go on the trans side, where they can snap on? How do you make those, with a flaring tool?

I know this is probably simple stuff for ya'll sorry its my first time doing trans lines.

The factory style quick connects will be hard to duplicate, but generic nuts will not. The quick connect fittings unscrew from the trans and it take the same thread as most older trans
