LT1 Swap

Just gearing my options to swap an Lt1 in.

Went from Crossfire - Engine swap carb - Lt1

Its a stock Lt1, not sure the year, just wondering what I need to complete it.

---Headers and Y-pipe - Since the links in the LTX swap forum are outdated, does anyone have links to summit racing for headers and a pipe that should work in my 83? Just looking for some that will work, not to spendy.

---700R4 - Mine is just rebuilt so im not looking for a 4L60E. What do I need for sure?

Do they still make the stud kit and do I really need a new TV cable or the original one I have should work?
And is the lockup kit just for gas mileage?

So out of this list what do I really need?
"93 Tb bracket - $13
93 TB brand new - $250-300 OR Holley Stud Kit - $6
93 TV cable - $20
95 4l60e VSS and Reluctor - $30???
TCI Lock up kit for 700r4 - $76 "

---Heads/Cam - Im looking for more power other then the stock engine it is, so does anyone know a good heads/cam combo? Or just a nice cam?

Looking around 350-375 HP (from the stock 275 or 285 whatever). Get it into slightly modified LS1 territory.

Thanks!

Headers & Y-pipe - Nothing I know of made specifically for the D-ports and 3rd gen chassis. Hooker 2055HKR and make sure the ports aren't blocked is probably the easiest choice if you want a good-flowing system that at least fits the chassis. If you're up to welding, you can weld around the tubes on the outside of the flanges, then port match to the D-shape (and you'll probably have to re-do the gasket sealing surface after the porting). 1-3/4" primary headers will clear the D-ports, but then your only choice is long tubes (and probably custom Y-pipe, and reduced ground clearance).

As far as I know, you need all of the TV stuff you listed. The TCC lock-up is for fuel economy, but if you don't use it, you'll build up excess heat in the tranny and burn out the 3-4 clutch pack, unless you get a TCC-elimination TC and properly modify the tranny.

Oh, heads & cam - I haven't done anything to my LT1 yet, but in the research I've done, Advanced Induction seems to have good packages (port your heads, cam for the power level you're looking for, new valves/springs/retainers/rockers, port your intake if you like, etc.).
