agreed get rid of them damn things.. other then that tint the windows and it should pretty good. however im not to sure about the stripes going all the way down like they are
Too bad GM never put the TPI as an option in the RS (cheap, light nweight LX Mustang fighter...like the Formula! hehe).....they can be modded to go of course.
The cell phone picture is actually doing the car justice. . . Cheap-o respray is all that's keeping her from rusting out. . . Got a ways to go before I can really get her to shine.

well ya know I meant--"readily and easily available to the public"
I heard a few dealers sold them to people....I wonder if anyone on here ever bought one brand new as a civilian....
I know ex-police cars are (or were) readily available to the public. I had a painter buddy pick one up for autocross, then changed out the hood, rear wing, and badges. And "made it" a Z28.
ugly engine shot of right after i got it and repainted thermostat housing and 4 can of gunk + a little elbow greese.
shiny l03 engine shot, i later replaced the aircleaner with a jegs drop base/w k&n aircleaner, also had a edelbrock stb on it and red msd super conductors some other little stuff
*** end shot. (later put a dual turn down styled exhaust but, no pics of it)
side shot
had the rims replaced with a set of the deep dish looking iroc wheels with custom billet center caps but, tragically totaled it b4 i got pics of it all cleaned up with said above and lots more.

I'm new to this site and i Own a 92 Rs myself (ill port pics of it soon) but i was curious how do you guys get such a good shine on those stock rims? mine clean up good but they don't have that good shine that i see on the majority of yalls vehicles..
Ohhh damn thats orgasmic LoL What kind of rims are those and what are your mods?
17" American Racing Rebels
275/40/17 BFG G-Force Rubber
1" V6 Drop Springs (don't know who makes them)
Glass T-Tops
Factory Power Antenna
"Euro" Headlights w/ HIDs
Z28 Grille and Fogs w/ HIDs
20% Tint
Wow... this is an amazing thread!!!! I kind of want to hop in on this action!
I spent 2 years rebuilding my RS... I saw someone on the first page I believe posted a picture of theres with the caption 'an RS with an identity crisis'... I think mine has the same problem!!!
Lets see:
Got the car October of 06:
Stock RS
Faded pink rims
Ugly Bra
"basic" interior
no power (windows etc)
6 cyl motor (didn't run)
rusted door (bad)
dents / dings everywhere
Flat hood
As of June 08:
305 TPI Conversion: stripped down and rebuilt the motor to stock specs
Dash conversion (V8 gauges)
Deluxe interior
Power windows / locks / hatch etc
K&N filters (all opened air box, and intake tubes)
Edelbrock headers, hollowed out cat, 40 series muffler, 3.5" tips
Iroc Rims
Iroc Suspension upgrades, including sway bars, front and rear, wonder bar, shocks, struts, coils, etc
Hawks reproduction blisters for flat hood... laid out, drilled in, molded to hood to 'stock specs'
custom sprayed paint: stripped, sealed, sprayed stock red, covered with 2 coats of red pearl, 4 coats of clear
TPI Badges and decals
Theres a lot more.... just too much to list. theres been HOURS AND HOURS and DOLLARS AND DOLLARS put into this car... as you all know, its expensive and time consuming but i'm proud to say i did EVERYTHING except the paint myself. First time for it all. I'm a 23 year old grad student... I tinker with my baby to keep me sain (work 40+ hrs a week, school 10+ hrs a week, homework 30+ hours a week)
It all makes it worth it when your at a show with trophy's around the car and people stop to talk to you, and congratulate you on your car... plus i like making the ricers drool when they hear what 'real exhaust' sounds like!!!
