Thanks I'll look them up right now, By point and shoot you mean self focusing right? Your rebel is the same one my aunt has (i think) she has to turn the lense by hand to focus the image.

Thanks for the picture, I saved it. I love that look. Add some nice tread designs and it will look so clean.

Also the night pictures are killer, the 1st and 2nd are my favorite from the bunch. I want to hear this car now. Get a video clip soon

Re: My IROC-Z Plan

Thanks for all the comments guys, makes all the hardwork seem like other people appreciate it too!!

I H8, i'm still waiting on the 17's so they'll have some V-tread tires on them for sure. Then i got the dropzones to lower it, should look killer i hope.

LOL the tracks were kinda iffy. I live about 200 feet from them so i know when the train comes around though. I got another idea for the tracks though...will show you the pics when i take them.

I'm seriously considering the Fujifilm Finepix S1500DF camera for $184 shipped. Cheap enough and hopefully the last camera i buy in a while. The best part i like is the image stabilization, the pics above are blurry cause with the fash off any movement causes huge blurs. Here's a link to some info on it. http://www.imaging-resource.com/PROD...D/S1500FDA.HTM

@ KITT1983 = Page 3, last pictures

I don't like the 4AA batteries, probably run out quick. I'd look for a possible lithium ion battery replacement or a camera that has one. But then again I'm relating the battery life to my camera which also shoots video, but it's display always runs, that's actually why the batteries die so quick.

I have been looking into camera's, as well as camcorders. I go here for all my reviews and such, this place is awesome and usually up to date by the day.

Yea it really does need different rims. The wheels and rims are really holding the looks back IMHO. I'm still waiting for the 17" irocs though. Anyone know where to get them? if so PLEASE tell me!!!

I think i'm going to go ahead and order that camera tonite. They got a package deal that comes with a case rechargeable batteries tripod monopod and a bunch of other things for 240, but idk i think ill just get the camera and go to wally world for the case and whatnot.

They want $1000 just for the rims, no tires included! Sorry but no-can-do on that price.

Try ebay or craigslist. Did you try the TGO for sale/wanted boards?

What size rims do you have now?

well it definitely is turning out great. how did your interior turn out? i think you followed my thread. but if not, i would suggest spraying armour all high gloss on your plastics and letting it soak. (24hrs) then wipe. you'll be amazed how much they look like new.

I'm debating getting the 18" ones now lol. They would ship this week! Heres some crapola pics of the interior (interior itself is nice, the pics turned out like garbage)

When you get the seats re-done, order a new OEM steering wheel from classic industries. It will greatly help to keep up the theme of original restoration (which is the theme I think you are going for, judging from all the pics).....

awww pics make me dizzy, but overall looks great, as for the decals, i dunno, get creative, under hood on the radiator support, on ur tool box, on the fridge door, inside the center concole, in the middle of the radio, myself i took a large bow tie, put it on my rad support, and has 305 vynal letters cut to go in the middle, this is on a chrome cover that was for somthing else but kinda "made" to fit, looks ok but for the rusty edges of where they cut it to fit right.

Actually i think it's more of a resto-mod theme lol. IDK i tried to get away from "original". For instance the stripes are gone, door decals towards front of the door, clear park lights, all the suspension and other upgrades, under hood details, now i'm getting different rims FOR SURE and a pillar pod is on its way. plus lots of other things that i'm forgetting. Oh and 4th gen or decent racing seats are on the to-do list.

If i was going for original restoration, it would be EXACTLY the same way it left the dealers' lot. At least thats what i think a resto is.

call me but now that you said that you think resto is what i was going for, i have to get more things to make it different

Not so distant plans: new seats, complete the pillar gauges with fuel press, water temp, and _____, install shift light where the cig lighter is, new wheels/rims, different fog lights, clear sidemarkers when the rims go on, lower it with dropzones, LOTS to do .

Oh and future 6.0 t-56, moser, and wilwood swap

Re: My IROC-Z Plan

I plan to completely change my look, notch hatch, 5" spoiler, no side skirts or rear bumper skirts, front 91-92 lip only, daytona hood, CF t-tops Im hoping (jccaclimber where you at?), 18" Centerline matrix's, Wilwood front and rear big brake kit, 3 tone complex paint job (complex meaning everything running into each other, no form of equality in the whole paint job, every part will be different), lowered 2" front and rear, speedglass windows, pinned hood and hatch, shaved doors and moldings, my custom headlight setup (I have an idea that has never been attempted, literally) with custom eyelids...stuff like that.

Seriously, get those wheels, I think 18's are perfect for our cars, as long as tire size isn't some 1" low profile tire,....I H8 that.

Interior looks great BTW. You should shave down or cut out a piece of your dash to set the iroc emlbem flush with the dash itself, kind of where the stock emblem went on the passenger side dash portion.

-Take care once again.

Re: My IROC-Z Plan

Well i ordered some junk for the iroc last night. auto meter 3 gauge full pillar pod, ultra lite water temp, fuel pressure gauge (just gonna screw in onto the fuel rail), shift light (got a cool place to mount it).

Now i got to decide what other two gauges i'm gonna use lol. Any input?

Also getting these new foglights. But dont know which kind. They have to have a clear lense like my park lights, something like these?

Re: My IROC-Z Plan

Are you looking to replace gauges you have with more accurate pieces, or are you looking for new gauges you didn't have before?

IMHO, if you get a new water temp gauge you should get an oil pressure gauge to go with it. I also think that a gauge that monitors your air/fuel ratio would be sweet, but I don't know if that's what you're going for.

Re: My IROC-Z Plan

The only reason i wanted the water temp was because i never trusted the OE gauge. It's the only thing i'll "double up" on.

I'm gonna get a wideband O2 when i put in the 6ltre. Im thinking about getting a cheap vacuum gauge right now just to fill a hole. then a oil temp. I got the fuel pressure gauge right on the fuel rail.

so right now: water temp

couple weeks: water temp, oil temp, vacuum

lq4 swap: water and oil temp, wideband O2

personally I'd go with a more accurate oil pressure gauge before an oil temp gauge.. oil pressure is very important to me and my factory gauge was off by about 7 psi..

I do like how you did that Nick. Did you try removing the grill behind your black grill, that has the center piece. I think you said it was to open or looked dumb because you could see all the problem parts? Anyway looks good either way.

Yea it looks like crap without the stock grill in there. You can see the the inner bumper and parts of the frame, it's nasty. I did, however, remove the fog light brackets after taking that picture so it cleaned it up a little bit. You can see the round brackets in the photo.

Re: My IROC-Z Plan

I don't have any emblems like that. The only two i have left are little door handle decals. I was actually thinking of removing the foglights and putting a polished aluminum grille/mesh thing behind the bowtie grille. HOWEVER, the blue lights are starting to grow on me, i don't mind them anymore. and it would save me $70 for new clear lightslol

Got any good photochoppers in here to do that to this pic?

ps, i know my fogs aren't aligned

The emblem I used is a ground effects emblem too. Yours you could put some gorilla glue on the back side of it and stick it on the mesh, it'd look saweeet

Here's some crappy pics with the OLD camera (sometimes the flash works, sometimes not). I bought that Fujifilm (the one about 40 posts up) and it takes AWESOME pics, still can''t get it to download the pics to my computer though. need to call em sometime.

Here's the gauge i got, just need to find two more (the same auto meter ultra lites)

Awesome pod, awesome shift light, perfect spot I think.

How was the pod fitment against the dash pad?

Thanks for the remarks.

The fitment on the pillar itself was flawless! i cut alot of the old pillar out to get to the gauges without taking the pod off, leaves me with plenty of room for the wires too.

Against the dash pad....not so great. I actually cut a 3"x3" square out of the metal backing on the pad so the top could squeeze down to allow the pod enough room. Looks fine though, just a little dimple.

What other two gauges you guys think i should get? I was thinking a vacuum and oil temp.
