went with black halo projectors from a silverado. still messing with all the wiring, its been pretty cold lately but will post updated pictures when i get them done.
A couple of questions though, of course , what year Silverado ? Do they fit nice and snug or is there a gap ? And most important, can these be used in a HID application ? Or would they not be the proper ones for HIDs ?
I'd bet those are off 96-98 c/k chevy truck/suburban. I believe i've seen the same model light, just not the halo ones done before, sure gives it a unique look! I know you can rig up HIDs on 96-98 truck with those lights, i have one, so i bet you could do the same on a camaro.

i bought these off ebay. the auction says 88-94 95 96 97 98 like 88-I.R.O.C. said.
there is a bigger gap then factory but i may leave them as is. i can get close up pictures for you.
im not sure about hid. the lights came with a bulb for the projector. auction claiming no modding necessary so id imagine they are just regular lights. i just went to the j/y for the high beam bulbs.
as for the spoiler The MPI 'Bird is correct it is a fiero spoiler!
any chance you have a pic of the bracket to install I am going to be doing the celebrity headlights sooner or later (I have the lights just haven't had time to do anything with them) Also do you have it setup with adjuster screws on there? not positive on how that part works is why I am asking.
i would love to do this, dont like the way those look though. i like the projector look but i dont like the different shapes and yeahhhhh. id like to see some more pics of this up close though. when you gonna come back and update us! lol

Reason: Automerged Doublepost
lol sorry its been so long! we have a wind chill advisory of -25 so yeah. spending time outside isnt much of an option at the moment haha.
the different shapes bothers me too but its the only set i could find that had halos on both. others just had them on the low beams. this is the closest picture i have atm.
i like them, but like i said earlier the different shapes me me sad lol. but im going to be doing this to my car (along with the other 45687430595384258093 things i wanna do to it) so its good to see it done. how was mounting it? did you make a custom bracket or what?? you gotta step by step for it?
Kind of off subject but I'm just going to throw this out there.... I just want to say the first picture of your car looks MEAN!!!! primer and all... just the way it is sitting there, a couple different colors, some dark rims... I like it.
I hope the weather improves soon so that we can see your project finished!! Can't wait for it!
I was looking here and I found these acura integra projector that I think will fit thirdgens, would just have to get one of those headlight covers from GTS. Has anyone here tried that?

I wouldn't waste the money on those the auction says not rated for HID and if you are doing all the work you may as well go HID I would use either celebrity headlights or chevy truck headlight (well housings) and cut the back to use a real projector and then you have the true Halo you are looking for along with better lights. HID planet has lots of tech articles on doing a retrofit. That is what I will be doing when it finally warms up.
Hey guys, not to jack your thread UDAMON, but I found this link of a custom made projector housing that will take the FX-35/45 retrofit. It is totally custom. Check it out!
It's definitly different, that's for sure. The thing I don't like about them is that now you have like 4 different colored/styled lights on the front of your car. The headlights you put on the car from the Silverado has two different styles in itself, plus the off colored white fog lights, and the amber turn signals. It's kind of busy looking.

i actually like the fog lights on there. it makes it look tougher i guess. maybe id have to see a picture of the car without the lights to see what i like better.

looks 2 odd, doesn't flow nor look like it belongs imo, its different so it's cool i just can't say i dig. any night pics im sure it looks way better at night though

I think this is one of the better mods I've seen on a 3rd Gen. I've looked at that picture a hundred times now and still never get tired of it. Those oval lights are a huge improvement over the 80's style rectangles.
I think that looks awesome. I've been thinking about doing one-piece lights on my 88 for a while now...this just might push me over the edge to do it.

those look really nice. hows the spread for the high beams? by spread i mean, when you turn them on how much light do you get on the side of the car? basically how wide is the beam? can you see towards the ditch or is it just bright directly in front of you.
wow that was hard for me to say :\ guess i dont know how to talk.
That looks pretty good. I'm sure the fact that they're black housings hides the gaps much better though. If the were regular reflective housings they may look better with headlight covers.
I have mixed thoughts now because they seem to lack illumination. Post more pics though, will definitely add 2 gallery.
do you have any night time pics? I'm thoroughly frustrated and piss with my headlights and the cheap **** I keep getting to replace them. If this will work I'll try these intead...as long as i can mod them to put in a projector assembly.
I didnt like them at first, but without the fog lights it works very well. With how dark your headlights are it makes your car look MEAN. Consider smoking/tinting your parking lights. They're such nice lights it'd be a shame to cover em up... but I think the best look would jsut be get some stock lights and put some black lens covers on em. I think it'd really take it over the top.
I personally like the stock look just fine so I probably wont change mine, but mine have upgraded housings and bulbs in them anyway... nothing as nice as yours though. I'm also happy to see how cool it looks to have that grille with no fog lights. I think I'm gonna pull mine off tomorrow actually after seeing yours.
