the IROC is up for paint in a few weeks....I'm hung up and can't decide on red or yellow....currently the car is white with red interior....how ever i do have mint tan interior...Help me make up my mind ladys and gents...my driveway is nothing but black or white cars (my monte is white and staying that way) so i've been thinking of changing it up a bit.

You should either go with a deep dark navy blue, or a deep dark maroon red..lol....But I would go red....Although yellow is pretty cool as well, and you don't see it as often. Sorry for the not helping part. =]
Paint it yellow! Canary yellow is good or any late model yellow gm uses like on the vettes. Either color you paint it, make the headlight buckets black.
painting the headlight buckets black is a must!!! my two choices are yellow or red...i've eliminated the rest....(and not a canary...more of a mustardy yellow or a bright red)
4get that, go with a canary over "mustardy yellow" that kinda shade looks cheap. Look 4 a lustrious shade of yellow. You can look through color chips at r local auto paint store. If you u go red, go with the current one there using on the chevy trucks. Its bright and has depth.

I've always wanted my headlight buckets to be black. Can I paint them myself?

yes, its really easy...just sand it with some really fine sand paper...tape it off with painters tape and hit it with some good sand paper. i did this on my monte carlo and its been on there for over two years without fading or flaking.......

good luck
I'm either gonna use velocity yellow(ZO6) or the yellow off of the dodge truck/viper.....PICTURES ANYBODY????????

Thanks. Like 2000 paper? Primer first?
Have pics of that being done or finished?

I looked online between the dodge ram srt yellow and the vette yellow, and in my opinion i like the vetter yellow just case i think it looks more vivid. And with black headlight bckets, tint and maybe black rimz it wold look awesome.
Ultimately its ur choice to make- What do u like? there both good.
eww sorry bro thats nasty looking in my opinion.. there a honda prelude painted like that around my town and hes got a checkerd flag pattern added to it and its just so wrong... thats just my 2 cents tho what ever floats ur boat bro
all u wanna do is take the shine of the paint away dont go sanding to the primer or even worse the actuall bumper.. i would use a red scuff pad and a can of high gloss black and a can of clear.. go threw make sure its all "not shiney" and tape it off and pay close attention to this step it will make a big difference if u mess up here. dont forget about over spray cover everything u dont want black. i would put 3 or 4 coats of black on there and 2 or 3 coats of clear on. good luck dont forget to post pics up of the process i wanna see how it comes out
