New Camaro. 1991 RS

Yeah! I grew my ****** back and decided to give third gen camaros another chance. I swore i would never own another third gen camaro after my old 83 gave me complete hell. I got a fox body mustang that i loved to death but i had to sell it to fund for a daily driver. I was planning on getting a cheap truck or something but i found this 91 rs on craigslist for a 1000$. Its registered and everything. 154k miles on it and it runs pretty good. Has a tranny oil leak out of the pan so i have something to do this weekend. This is going to be my daily driver so im leaving it all 100% stock. Not even going to change the exhaust yet. Its a v8 automatic btw.

Heres a couple of pics.. Needs new hood right fender and back bumper/support.. Then its going to get painted the same blue that it has now.

Yeah. It was a pretty good deal.. Its registered and everything. The back bumper damage is alittle worse then i had imagined but its good. Only 1k is good enough for me.

You might be able to straighten the rear bumper until you get a new one...

Nice find though. Congrats!

bumper is pretty messed up internally.. The support is all twisted up in that area and the beam on the bottm is buckled alittle bit. It shouldnt be to bad once i get a new support beam

Re: New Camaro. 1991 RS

Not too bad, i avoud any third gens with any kind of real back end damage, i am funny like that.

Same thing with me, i have a 89 RS hard top getting a 496 swap and it is the toy, while my 95 Z28 is cammed and carborated, so i am selling the 95 and got my 89 T top car that is going to be my DD and not get too much in the mod department.

It will get posi and a carb as the TBI wont work for sh!t, other than that, it has a blowmaster and it will sty with it for a while.

I didnt realize how bad it was until i really looked underneath the car.. How do these bumpers come apart? does the metal support beam underneath the bumper cover have screws or is it welded on?

Re: New Camaro. 1991 RS

bumper support is fairly simple, need to remove tail lights, remove interior pieces in the hatch, 3 screws on each side on the inner fender wall, plus the tabs top and bottom for bumper. the support brace is 4 bolts each side attached to the sub frame, once you remove the brace we can see how bad the damage is, braces and rear bumpers are cheap and easy to come by so that should be a simple fix

Hey man whats up? when i was replacing my rear inner bumper support cause it was rusted out, i took it off and it looks my car got in a VERY minor accident and the rear body panel behind the support was pushed in, so i just hit it out from the inside with a hammer and its like new. good luck with the car. good deal for a g.

sup liquisport!!!! ahaha.. Didnt see your post above. Im hoping the panel isnt as bent as it looks underneath.. Might have to hammer the hell out of it for a bit to get it back into shape again.

Im broke right now.. Especially after i buy a new hood/fender/bumper.. Next month im expecting a decent sized check from my fathers job or something.. Im going to use part of that money for paint

This is the 91 Z28 i passed up on for a trade for my 5.0 mustang i paid 700$ for.. Guy wanted 300 bucks to pay off the back fees and i was like HELL NO..I had just got the mustang running in GREAT shape.. Completely gutted the interior and cleaned it up.. Im still smacking myself with a hammer over this one.

That red one doesn't have the correct "blister" hood to be a Z28.

That 91 Z28 looks sick... Too bad you passed on it. Your current car looks like a good project/DD. Shouldn't be too hard getting her to look and run good.

I am used to the 5.0 mustangs though, I haven't lost to one yet AND my buddy owns two of them. Lets see some pictures of your old 5.0!
