Well in addition to my 85 z28, last year I bought an 86 z28 with a little history. The story goes as follows. I bought this car from a guy about an hour away from me as a complete shell. No body, nothing. Bought parts to put the body back together, but never finished. Sold it to a fellow member on here in hopes it would go to a home that would finish it. 2 or so years later I find it for sale on here with a motor/trans/rear and body bolted on. The car was rust free and was a great start so I couldn't pass it up. I bought it back from him, contemplated selling it, blah blah blah.
Then finally I took it to the body shop that did my 85z and had it painted. It was a complete hassle with the owner of the shop but finally got done. The color is 2005 gm sunset orange metallic. Its got a 355, t5, 10 bolt posi disc 3:73 rear end, blah blah. It never ran. The motor is completely fresh. The po couldn't get it to run. First couple weeks I got it back from him I found the distributor was a tooth off so we got it to fire but wouldn't stay running. It sat and sat because I didn't feel like pulling the tank to find out what was going on. Once at the body shop up on a lift I pulled the tank to find the line was plugged. Blew it out with air and poof, I had a leak because it was rusted out. Fixed the leak, and she now fires up, runs, drives, whatever. I feel like it's finally coming together. Front bumper and door gfx/mirrors aren't on yet, but they are painted. Just gotta do some work.
The car itself is an 86 z28. It has 91 ground effects and bumpers, a 85 or previous hatch with no 3rd brake light or rear defrost. Hood is a fiberglass harwood 3" cowl. Any questions feel free to ask. Here are some pictures...

Good to see man, gonna look killer. I want to see more pics of the wing on the blue one if you can. PM me, i have been debating on getting one for my 89 RS hard top.
A few pics washed and in the sun. It was on it's way to the chassis shop to have subframe connectors welded in and to have the roll bar cut out. It will later be getting a 10 point.

Camaro gets upgraded, and then you get the Jeep upgraded to pull it.
Very cool.
The cherokee in the before pics was the previous owner towing it up to his place when I sold it. The grand in my pics was bought to tow these things around
Here are some new pics. I gotta take the front bumper off again to move the impact bar over a bit, and align the hood a bit better but hey at least it looks like a car now. I have mostly been working on the interior lately, which is almost done. Looks like it will be on the road again after being put away for more than 10 years. Here are a few pics. Wheels are definetely on the list of must have next's. The door handles are being replaced with new ones, there is a new bowtie grill waiting to be put on, but it's coming together. It's going to be a long, expensive road to get these cars done!
