Hi i am new on here and i have a 84 firebird trans am that i paid 700 dollars for and runs it has a v8 305 i think ( i don't know much about mechanics )and an auto tranny so yah if any1 could give me some input it would be much appreciated

UMMM ok let's see what i can do. i eventually want to paint car and clean engine and restore interior.? does it matter which cables are connected to which spark plugs?
Oh man you really don't have much experience do you? No offense but thats like..a really important thing with the spark plug order lol. Yeah, it matters alot but we need to know what size motor you have to tell you the firing order.
Go down to your local parts store and pickup a haynes manual. Then go read the first chapter on scheduled maintenance and go do a tune up. Thats your best place to start man! GOOD LUCK!
