? to be judged or not to be judged

Here's the thing. I know my car isn't a "show piece". It's got near 180,000 miles on the clock. With all it's warts & scars it shows its age. I've tried to return it as much as possible to original given some parts are nearly impossible to find in decent shape. So the local car club wants to arrange a cruise to Clayton NY on Saturday for a show. I have the option of tagging along just to see the show or participate which means my car will be judged along with all the others.

So I guess the question is should I let them judge my car knowing it's probably not going to fair well or not?

Re: ? to be judged or not to be judged

It was judged.

Judges were nice guys, very knowledgeable on 3rd. Gens. They appreciated the effort I put into the restoration. They were critical of the PO's body & paint work (which I knew would stick out like a sore thumb and I'll correct someday). They did give me a few pointers on how to set the car up for a show should I do this again.

Mine was the only IROC there. A hand full of 3rd Gen camaro's & firebirds but no IROC's, weird. I'll post pics of the event later today when I get a chance.
