Awsome car man how you have so much power on that 305
The engine is still the factory 305cid TPI HO but is bored 60 over making it a 315cid. The bottom has been machined to four bolt splay and running an Eagle crank and Eagle H beam rods with JE pistons. My 658 RHWP number was on C16 at 15 lbs of boost. I just changed to E85 and installed a 25 lbs pulley only to find a little water in the oil and bearing material in the oil filter. I will pull the motor next week and roll new bearing in providing all is well, and install a better fitting head gasket. Should be good! Hoping to tune to 750+ RWHP in December and take car to Texas Mile and Maxton Mile in the Spring.
I live in Wilmington just off of market, why haven't I seen this car lol?
looks great!

"rust rocket" ...someday hope to install FAST EZ EFI... 1999 Chevrolet Camaro Z28-Artic White, Flame Red Cloth Full Bolt-Ons, Tuned by Frost, Hurst Billet, Bilsteins, Zr1s
I should post on here more often....four kids, two in college keeps ya busy!
To the Wilmington guy, I live in the Ogden Park area and make an occassional National Speed Dyno day. The assist on the tuning of the car.
And about the chute, once again a safety requirement in LSR for cars exceeding 175 mph.
I stay with the 305 because I'm a bit of a purest. It's alway fun to see the facial expressions at a dyno day too! Can't wait to put another 10 lbs (this number means nothing BTW) of boost to it.
very nice car. At track days do you run any kind of headlight covers? most top speed cars always seem to run some and then tape the edges to seal them up?
just curious.
AWESOME #'s out of the 305. if I recall your running a YSI on that 315 correct?

your gonna put 26lbs of boost what have you estimated of hp with that boost
I haven't run headlight covers yet because something that simple buts me in an altered class...but so does the new spoiler, so I guess I should fab something there too.Yes, still running a Vortech V7YSI with the ASP Poly Carbon belt system.Hate to estimate the HP gain on the extra boost, but should be at least 100 rwhp. I've also switched to E85....What the hopeful expectation is low 800 rwhp. If I do achieve that number, the transmission and differential will be very suspect!!!! Some use a broad sword, I prefer a razor...
nice, How do you like the asp polly stuff? Im hoping i dont run into to much belt slip with my novi 2000 I have a 8rib setup on it now. I dont know if I have much room for a 12rib setup. without changing fans or doing a custom radiator and set it forward a little.

The poly carbon belt system is great. It provides superior strength, it's much lighter, does not require tension and increases supercharger efficiency by 5%.ASP does a great job fabricating the pulley system.

I might have to give them a call. as I want a smaller headunit pulley anyways.
Id guess the pulles for my app would be very costly.
#1 I had to machine a spacer to move the crank pulley out to line the belt with the sc head unit.
(lt1 in a 3rdgen with a Novi 2000 setup. Nothin bolt on about it. Uugghhh. )
