New project

Well after getting rid of my first black '91 Z28 auto hardtop, then getting a black '92 Z28 ttop 5 speed, then selling that.... last week I bought another black '91 Z28 hardtop. This one has original black interior, 5 speed, and only 135,000 miles on it! It does need a tune up, and small body repair from the previous owner's brother running into a parking post while trying to park

Here are the pics, it doesn't have the original Z28 wheels but the 88-90 irocs are close enough lol. I will be getting new wheels anyway so it doesn't matter....and yes it's dirty inside and out.

Ouch...

Re: New project

For those who havent seen them, here are how my last two black Z28's looked..

The first one..a black '91 Z28 hardtop, originally a 305 TPI, auto car. Bought it with 188,000 miles on it back in august of 2005. Went through 3 motors and finally the tranny went as well...this was my breaking point as I was going through some personal stuff that didn't make it practical to keep at the time. Anyway here it is..

Re: New project

So I used the money from selling the '91 as well as my tax return to buy my '92 z28 back in february. I saw it on craigslist..originally a blue car, but painted black by the previous owner. It had 235,000 miles, was 5 speed which really appealed to me, had ttops which I didnt prefer, but it was the closest thing to my '91 that I could find, and it ran..which was the most important part. It also came with tan interior, but I converted it all to black using mostly parts from vinces '86 that was wrecked shortly after. I was able to make money off of it by selling it and extra cash was really handy at the time..so I let this one go back in July of this year.

Here's how my '92 looked when I let it go..

Awesome cars dude. i think your newest on will be the best of all. 5speed hard top can't beat that. Ive always been partial to hard tops. Black iis always good to. I cant wait to see what direction this latest one goes in. by the look of the last two this onw should be one slick black Z28. Good luck and thumbs up!

Re: New project

It looks like from the pictures we have the same problem.
My steering wheel is not sitting "flush" or whatever you call it either.
I'm wondering how to fix it.
Seeing as we have the same problem, any insight?

Re: New project

Wow you've had some really nice cars, I'd put the rims off the first one on the second one and I think it'd be perfect.
