Long over due update....
Mounted trans cooler in rear and plumbed them.
Also got a bunch of little stuff done including:
- ran the shifter cable and made it functional.
- Mounted and plumbed rad over flow behind the rear tires
- finished up the wiring
- re-routed rear fuel line for parachute mount
- ran meth line to front of car
- mounted the rack & pinion and made the car steer
- Bled the brakes
- Installed and wired a Meth low level switch in my meth tank
- Drilled and tapped the wastegates for 1/8NPT fittings as they over had provisions for 1/16"
- rolled the rear fender lips (that sucked)
After all that I yanked the engine back out, set it down and the ground and sent it away.

That is going to be one hell of a car. Awesome.
Still lots of time for a summer drive too.

Where on FB? Trying to find his page.
Hey Charlie. I hope you got it all together. This is labour day and it was your unofficial target to be on the road.
If all goes well, I'll have moved to Edmonton for the 1st of October. With any luck I'll catch the last couple of test and tunes at Castrol.
Maybe see you there.

Re: My 1986 Z-28 build thread *PIC HEAVY*
Wellll... 3 months later I am back. Took a break from the car, with a bunch of races to go to, one of my best buddy's getting married, heavy workload, and copious amounts of alcohol to consume I felt it was needed. Started off last friday night by blowing the dust off the car and got to work. Wasn't the most productive weekend, but still felt good to be working on it again.
Started off by building a mount for my drysump tank, Both the tank and bracket are now out getting powder coated black.
Been dealing with the guys that built my headers on correcting the issues I have had with them (poor craftsmenship) and they are currently building me another set, But in the mean time I bolted the old ones back into place to continue mocking up parts.
Also built the remaining to scavenge/feed hoses for the dry sump oiling system.
I had also pulled the pushrods out of the engine to relieve the stress on the valve springs (seeing as they cost me over 750$ ): ) so I also re-installed those and set the valves as I intend on firing the car as soon as the oil tank is back from powder coating
Someone is a dam comedian...
Also spent a few hours with my arms getting cut up inside my doors... Got the new door handles and lock cylinders in and functioning. Glued the lower door weather stripping in place aswell, along with a bunch of other small trim parts. Just need some more parts back from the body shop to finish putting the doors together. Once the doors are back together, and upper window weather stripping in place I intend one taking the car off the jack stands and washing the dust off it so I can finally put my cover on it without messing up the new paint.

Welcome back.
It'd be great to check out this monster in person.
Have some business with your shop too (assuming you're still at AMS).

I just got a chance to look at your whole build. Awesome. Inspiring. And it's good to see the love and quality that you're putting into your Camaro. I hope that this engine provides you with a few years of enjoyment before you need more power, but I know how that can be. Good job sir.

What is the part number on your strange front coilovers? I can only find a third gen strange strut and it's like $400+ each....They are usually $240...

Just completed reading the whole thread through. Very inspirating project and simply impressive that amount of time and effort you've put on details! Also love those Twin turbo'd EFI small blocks. Can't wait to see it in action.

Making more progress...
LED dash light, just to be able to see in the car if I need to late at night.
Washed the car and got all the dust off of it.
Doors completely assembled and weather stripping in place.
also got my parachute mount installed and the hole cut in the bumper cover.

That looks great. Nice colour too. It appears to be really close to the OEM gun metal gray that my coupe is painted.
Previous posts looks like you were doing a lot of the bodywork and prep on your own. Did you shoot the paint too?
I've said before that I'd like to talk to your body and paint man.

Probably a tough question to answer, but what's your timeline for getting it on the road?
We've still got another 3 months of crappy weather to work through.

Hot side tacked together... Mounting the wastegates tonight. then Nolan is going to back purge and weld out all the stainless stuff, then the turbo kit is basically done.
Parachute mount is also 95% done. Just need to mount the pack on it, build a cable support, and drill the hole for the pin/bolt to hold it into the receiver on the car.

So.... Finished off a few major items on the list of things to do last night.
Major one is the turbo kit, It is completely done!
Window net is also mounted. The net was custom made by DJ safety, I may have another one built that is a bit tighter.
Parachute mount is also completely done. Just gotta paint it and install the pack itself
