Nice car, gotta say I really love RAI hoods on third gens, personally I almost vomit everytime I see a RAII hood on anything but a 4th gen, the RAI hoods just go so much better with the lines..

Just keepin' this thread alive
Here's my red 1990 GTA along with a friend's black 1989 GTA taken a few years ago.. We used to cruise around town side by side on Sunday nights. We sure got a lot of looks.....
Sadly, his car was vandalized a few years ago while he had it in winter storage. The damage was so bad, it was written off by the insurance company.

Yeah, you don't see too many 16yr olds driving them around here either but the last one I saw doing it slammed it into a tree doing 65. It was a really nice bird too I was trying to buy it from him. Needless to say he wanted to sell it to me after he was done with it

Flame Red Metallic...if I'm not mistaken.

kymission, I have never seen that color on a 3rd gen and I think it's a very fitting color for a vert. Nice choice, car looks good. Why didn't you keep the door handle black though? Anymore pictures? Do you plan on getting new wheels?

I was going to shave the door handles altogether- We had an ice storm here this year and a large tree branch fell on the car. As a result I had to paint and fix the body quickly. So no shaved door handles. I did shave all other markings and door bumper guards, etc... I personally think cars look better with matching color handles.
As for the wheels. Those are new. I am a huge fan of white letter tires. This is one of the last remaining muscle cars. I stuck with 15" wheels because they would be period correct for the car. I was graduating high school when this car was made. As a result, I want the car to be right for its time.
I will be one the guys to sink tons of money into a 305 TBI because it is original. The only new advanced looks wise is the 4th gen console. I did this simply because of the cup holders.

In the early 90s we had at best 40 channels for cable. This was before you had 5 car shows on each night. Spike was the nashville network. They had at best 4 fishing shows and 0 car shows. There was no tv influence for fixing up your car. No tuners, basically you bought your wheels at the local tire dealer. Big O Tires sold American Racing wheels. Which these are. So I want to keep the car fresh for the time period which it was created. So I hope that answered your question. In 1991-92 there were really only a handful of wheels to select from. This wheel was probably the most popular. Today- there are only a handful of wheels to select from in the 15" size since most people are modernizing the cars. Putting new large brake systems on, large wheels, etc... I kinda wanted the fix up the older car to take me back to that time.

Yes, we are a disappearing breed for sure. I was keeping my 83 bone-stock and about got laughed out of a meet.
The GTA will stay a 5.0 TPI. That's enough for me. As for the car...the paint job looks nice. LOVE those wheels on it!

You know, I entertained the idea of putting a cowl/formy hood on the GTA, but I wasn't sure how it would look. I LOVE IT! It looks really sharp and really makes your GTA unique.
I'm glad I kept my GTA original (just one of my personal preferences), but I think it looks really good, and you pulled it off quite nicely!

Your driver side fender looks like it's misaligned. The top part of the fender sticks out further than it should(Sorry to be so meticulous about body work...especially since mine is horrible but I want mine to be perfect too.) Other than that, sweet ride, but....why are you parking and taking pictures in front of my vacation homes?!?!?!??!?!?(I wish.)
