Re: "artistic" shots of Firebirds and T/A's, Post Up!
redfirebirdman8- those are weld draglite 17x9 or 10 i believe. I'm not sure what store sells 17" ones, they were on the car i bought it a few months ago.
I've been looking around because i've had a few other people ask me the same thing, but i can't find them anywhere else either.

mike_charles 85_TA_WS6, what kind of exhaust is that? Looks like there's no muffler? Nice looking car too. I love that last shot.
The exhaust is an SLP Loudmouth catback. It's stainless with a bullet muffler in line next to the driveshaft. It allows for a very clean look under the car and I love the sound. Thanks for the comments
Re: "artistic" shots of Firebirds and T/A's, Post Up!
Well, it's happened! I have fallen in LOVE with the late 80's GTAs!
I currently drive a custom 1984 Monte Carlo SS which I've owned for the past 13+ years and I've put about 20,000 miles on it in that entire period. This is NOT a trailer queen -- just a weekend cruiser. I have the Monte on the market now and, if I am able to sell for a reasonable price, I will be getting a GTA for sure.
If anyone knows of someone looking for a sweet 1984 (fairly rare) Monte Carlo SS with custom paint and a worked 305, holler. You can see the Monte at http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2925312/1 more pics to be added this weekend.
I look forward to participating on this site -- I've already gotten many many good ideas from reading various posts.

All right, I can't resist, here are a few more of mine. I took these the other day on Cadillac Mt. in Acadia National Park. It's the first place the sun hits in the US every day

P.S. racerx: car's looking great!!!! I take it she's all fixed up from the Wawa parking lot incident?

Re: "artistic" shots of Firebirds and T/A's, Post Up!
Here is my little sister's '91 Formula. It's a really fun car to drive around. We're working on a few minor things on it to make it look even better. She needs to have about 2 or 3 dents pulled out and get the hood worked on because it got hit with hail, and then my dad wants to get her some TTII's.

Re: "artistic" shots of Firebirds and T/A's, Post Up!
yeah steve i actually havent washed or waxed it since like october lol...it was a spur of the moment picture taking event lol....we were looking at all these pictures here and we decided that we could get better than the ones we had already lol....i plan on washing/waxing and overall just cleaning it up this spring when it warms up (probably like next month if this weather keeps up the way it has been)
and 87_GTA_5.7....that is a killer car you got....a similar set up to what i wanted to do, but when i saw all the ram air II hoods around here were cracking, i decided not to take a chance with 500 bucks lol but i really like your car......its lookin damn good
Re: "artistic" shots of Firebirds and T/A's, Post Up!
Thanks..were do they crack?? I never heard anything about that..Im really easy with it when I open it and close it..and Im the only kid that probably waxes and polishes their car every other day..lol So I take really good care of it..thanks for the complement man!
And I added a few more..the tires on the front look small..but the MT streets look good!!!

Re: "artistic" shots of Firebirds and T/A's, Post Up!
well its not the fiberglass that cracks, its because the fiberglass flexes the paint cracks, it like spiderwebs.....the two people ive talked to that i've seen this happen to their hoods both bought them from hawks so that might be the problem....i personally dont think its the hood, i think its cuz the lifters are still for the steel hood, and this extra boost gives it a constant bend and then when you release the hood then it flexes back to straight, and any 1st grader can tell you that steel is heavier than fiberglass...thats my theory atleast but if your hood is still in good shape then the best of luck to you in it staying that way!
Re: "artistic" shots of Firebirds and T/A's, Post Up!
I had to have it for my air cleaner and carb. I like the flat smaller ram air hood but this one just jumps out to me..and I hate cowl hoods on a T/A but thats the reason I went with the taller one..
