Re: New pics again
that was last week???? how are all the leaves still that green?
I would have to drop the front just a hair.
But that is one of if not the best looking trans ams I have seen, VERY clean. and I LOVE cowl hoods on these they are shaped perfect and flow very well with the front and sides of the car. WHeels look great too.
What size tires are those?

i bought the wing from WingsWest 4 or 5 years ago, ive heard it called the mecham wing, but it didnt have a name when i bought it, and i think it was discontinued cause i cant find it anymore
dont want to lower it any more, its already on sportlines, and the bellhousing has eaten asphalt twice already , theres actually some stuck between the pan and the belhousing plate i need to pick out
everything was still pretty green here last week, things have yellowed out a lot since then though
18" wheels, 245/40's, im hoping to have the rears widened this winter and put on 295/35's

Re: New pics again
It's a nice, unique look though, there aren't many options for our cars, and it's nice to see some variety!!

Re: New pics again
looking good. Thanks again for the spoiler info. It is still made and I got one last spring. Wings West has it on their site with no picture. Here is the description and part # for anyone interested:
FIREBIRD PACE CAR STYLE (LOOKS LIKE CAMARO WRAP AROUND) P/N:
49981
So yeah, they actually have one fitted to a Camaro. They have a picture of that one on the site. I had to go through one of their local dealers and it was a bit of a pain in the ***... and expensive. Somewhere around $250 from what I remember, but I'm not positive. It's very obvious that they built it off of a base firebird spoiler. The legs are identical yet they somehow screwed up placement of the studs on mine so it will require new holes. You can even see where they were supposed to be located, so it's a bit frustrating. The finish is decent, there is some obvious waviness in the drivers side "arm" that needs to be smoothed out. I have some preliminary pics, but I'll probably hold off on posting until the car's repainted.

Re: New pics again
yea, thats about what i paid for mine, and it took forever to get it. the mount location are not supposed to be based on any stock layout, so you would have to drill new holes.
I had fitment issues too, the spoiler was twisted a bit and the passenger side "arm" stuck up in the air off the quarter almost a half inch more than the driverside, i had to place a small spacer under one of the mounting bolts, so when tightened down it twisted the wing the other way and made it sit flat, so far so good, but it something they need to address

Re: New pics again
Yep, sure do! I have a thread here on TGO:
https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/fire...ip-1984-a.html
and on the New England Camaro & Firebird club forums: http://www.necamaro-firebird.org/for...topic.php?t=15
I also have more pics of it on my computer and my personal website, if you're looking for something specific that's not in those threads

Re: New pics again
mine took quite a while to get also. The pedistals line up exactly with the original spoiler (T/A in the earlier years, and base model in later years). There is no reason the studs can't line up with the original, but they just didn't place them correctly when constructing it. In fact, 2 or 3 of the studs on mine line up and the other 1 or 2 need the hole extended or a new hole right next to it. You probably had the wrap-around spoiler before, so it'd have completely different mounting points.
