Re: Finally starting painting process on my 92' bird
Nice looking car, can not wait to see it all painted and I am sure you can't either. I am still on the fence about the RA hoods and am looking forward to seeing how it looks on your car in that color.

Me too, I am hoping it turns out good. I was also on the fence about RA hoods, but I plan on making this one functional. If I painted her last year, I wouldn't have bought one. Somewhere along the line my mind got changed and I am glad I did. Thirdgens are pretty rare around here, I have the only working 92 around (there is one in a nearby town that is just sitting around rotting, tried to buy it, no deal, another story, lol.)
I decided to be a little unique and give the guys in the stangs and hondas a little something to wonder about, lol. The plan is as of right now, to paint in the morning. I will keep everyone posted. I assume most people are waiting for the final product before giving their opinion.
Re: Finally starting painting process on my 92' bird
I can give you an opinion now. The RAII will look good with that color and the body style you have BUT...those wheels will kill it's overall appearance. Even the Formula wheels look better if you like that style. I've got the RAII hood and the Formula wheels and it looks much better than those 15" stockers. Plan on getting new wheels though.
Re: Finally starting painting process on my 92' bird
What kind of a pain in the a$s did you have with the fitment of the hood? I remember spending days adjusting and repositioning that damn thing until finally it was decent.

I have found a set of trans am honeycomb rims, not sure yet if they are for sale. I will keep everyone posted if I change them.

My uncle and I spent about 2-3 hrs getting it in place and it still wouldn't fit down snug. We eventually had to drop the inside piece a little so it would come down pretty snug to the bumper.
Some pics as she sits right now.

I got the car back now, no decals installed as of yet, still on the way from U.S. I did get my "ram air" decals though. I am going to wait till I have them all before I get them installed.
Re: Finally starting painting process on my 92' bird
I am working on some new rims for the car. I will not be changing the spoiler. I rather that spoiler than the wrap around one. Not sure what you mean by lack of graphics?
Re: Finally starting painting process on my 92' bird
Ahh.. ground effects, lol, all the time I spend on here, I should know that. To be honest, I am not a big fan of the GFX for the 91/92's. So I don't think as of right now, I will be adding them. With regards to the rubberized wheel well coat, what brand name is recommended?

I was just comparing your car to mine,I never suggested that you should change anything, only stated the obvious differences in our cars.
I think your car looks great and at the same time I think mine looks great.
And yeah, gfx means ground effects not graphics! lol!!

Lol, I really lilke your car. Very nice. Here is a couple more pics after I finally washed the tires.
Note: My rims are in bad need of repair. I am looking for replacements as we speak.
