I WOULD NOT, NOT, NOT keep it outside under a tarp!! Under ANY circumstances!
If it was a water-proof, breathable car cover, I might be okay with that, but a plastic tarp will only hold in and trap moisture and start rusting all that beautiful chassis work! If you keep it outside, get a weatherproof, breathable cover or put it back inside, but for heaven's sake, do NOT keep it under a tarp!
The work is beautiful, though. Can your brother come to the States and do mine??

Yours is in GREAT shape compared to mine...for an 85, that's beautiful condition!
I'm going to be busily working on my dash while the car is in the body shop. Might recover the seats while I'm at it.

Hi update
the tpi SNORKEL has averred from the States
white on the snorkel is the camera flash
Isn't that a setup from a camaro? How do u plan on getting it to clear the hood? Edit I just saw the IAT hole, I'm guessing this setup is from a v6 car also?
yes it is a camaro setup but it clear 82-84 hood , I don't no if it came from v6 or v8
Ah ha, I didn't know it was possible to fit it on the early birds, thats really cool. It is a v6 setup, at least the snorkel is, which is easy to tell by looking at the bung on it for an external IAT sensor. A while back a few TPI guys tried em out with an external mounted IAT sensor that supposedly would offer a more accurate reading of the intake air temp, unlike the factory sensor which was located in the bottom of the tpi plenium.
hehe I had planing to use that hole for extra air temp sensor but it is will be some time be for I put the engine in the car , do to price of dollar and low offer time at me work, the project is slow going at this time
this is really a restorer's restoration lol...everything that has been goin on this has had an extra touch from ya! i like checking in on this build, one of my favorites on here...lots of work and time goin on on this. keep up the great work!
either rack and pinion will require the same amount of mods, most likely that's the one that was available. They are most likely the same part for v6 and v8 cars, the only real difference may be ratio.. Looks like it's going to be a really cool resto, can't wait to see more pics! Are you going to modify your factory k-member to work with the rack unit or get an aftermarket one already set up for it?
update
15th Anniversary horn emblem has a new hornbottom from Fiero GT
and news
4L60-e steps a side for T56 , I´m working on getting brake from ws6 and from same car interior and wiring
In my experience, the camaro TPI "dual snorkel" doesn't clear a firebird hood. I did a mock-up on my 84 T/A and it didn't fit. The firebird hood has VERY little space at all above the radiator shrowd. That looks like an intense and thorough project you have going on there!

A dual snorkel CAN be done on a Firebird if it's done right. This one was a T/A Nats.

and in this one the driver and passenger door panels with switches and dash to windshield panel here the dash frame work
and in this one
the ABS controller
glad to see you're still at it! I see you got yourself a vette t-56 that you're gonna use instead of the auto? Did you get the parts to convert it to an f-body t-56 yet?
Thats cool......do u anymore pic of the mods ? I hope he is a member here. please chime in
I wish I did...this pic is from a friend who went to Nats (kizz), and this is the only pic he took of it. I'd be willing to bet you could download it and zoom in, though.
It looks to me like a good portion of the bracing under the hood was cut away to create clearance for that intake ducting.

Agreed, it looks like all the bracing in the area of the intake ducting is cut out.. I think it would be really cool if you cut away the area under the vents on the front of the hood and made the vents functional and also cut a corrisponding hole in the top of the ducting, stuck two small square air filters in there and make it a functioning ram air setup (not sure if the vents line up with the top of the intake ducting to make this idea feasable and im sure it wouldn't be that great of an idea as far as rain is concerned but it sure would be cool if it worked).
