Getting ready fo the big trip!

Well my family and I are moving to Las Vegas, NV from Wisconsin next Friday. I am getting my car ready to make the trip out there safely. I changed the oil, checked the brakes, and I will get the transmission and maybe the diff fluids chaneged monday. Is there anything else I should be checking for? I washed the car and also cleaned and put on the bra I got for it yesterday. Here are some pics

Check the tire pressure and make sure to top-off all the under-hood fluids. Good luck.

if u really really care about ur paint ive seen people put blue painters tape on the areas most likely to be caught by anything the road can dish out.. ive seen the intire car covered with the tape.. the bra should take care of the front but i was talking about behind the wheels and stuff yea it looks stupid but when u peal it off and have no scratches on the nice BLACK paint job u got u will be happy.. and thats a long trip a lot could come in contact with the paint

lol I remember those pics from that audi that was completely covered head to toe in painters tape it actually was kind of cool, and did an amazing job of protecting the car too

Re: Getting ready fo the big trip!

yeah I thought about putting painters tape on it but I don't think much else is in harms way except the mirrors. I am really looking forward to the trip, as this car is a dream to drive. I'm going to be blocker for the 26' long moving truck. My uncle said Id be famous with the truckers on I-80 by the Colorado state line... lol

Re: Getting ready fo the big trip!

be sure to check the coolant, and your air dam to make sure its all held on good. dont want it hitting something and falling off in the middle of the country. also if you havent added water wetter to your cooling system, you should, it gives you a bit of protection from overheating since youll be driving for long periods of time.

beautiful car by the way

Re: Getting ready fo the big trip!

Thanks alot! I checked out the cooling system and it looked good. I might have to put in a cooler thermostat though for being in the desert. I thought I would see a whole bunch of thirdgens in vegas when I was there abiut 3 weeks ago but all I saw was a mexicanized camaro with firebird screaming chickens on it and an RS for sale. No Trans Ams at all. Saw a bunch of vipers, lambos, all other exotics but no T/As. I guess my car will really stand out still.
