My bad you're right, a roll call thread really wouldn't get "old" :P
I think I might've spun a bearing, the oil pressure gauge started to do weird things (jump between 0 and max and flickering), then it started tapping and over a half hour of driving it got worse. Haven't touched it since I got home heh. As for your car, I would be interested if I hadn't just bought my piece of junk two months ago :-/.
I have a 350 sitting in my garage I took out of my old Nova, I'm just saving the money to finish building it up so I can put it in the Camaro. Fixing my car isn't a matter of parts, its a matter of waiting until I have the money
Damascus, MD here -- but won't be making any gatherings anytime soon. Just opened my own business this year and right now I'm the only employee. The purple beast only sees daylight from my house to my shop...boo hoo.
fordgirlgnebad :hey nice too see you around here I talked with you bf and he seems cool....does he do paint too? if so my car will need it (ran into some trouble with leakey pipes at the apt complet parkin garged spot. and also might get some custom stuff done while im at it ......
I'm in maryland, haven't really been on the scene in the last few years because the car's been in the garage. Looking to get it road worthy again to get it out for the rest of the summer. I'm in Upper Marlboro.
The thirdgen probably won't make it out too far anytime soon. :I
It's about time for a new motor in there. I upgraded all the suspension/installed a poly bushing kit all around/upgraded to ls1 brakes all around. On the first trip out going to work on the way back a fan died and it overheated pretty bad and the motor makes some odd noises from time to time. Sigh.
so since we all now know where everyone lives.....time to get a local meet going!!! It's been way too long since the last one. In the past we have had em on in rockville at cici's pizza (all you can eat for like 7 bucks) ( right off of 355 and montrose/ randalph ) so how about it some time before summer ends? Make a suggestion .anything we need to get some meets going .
Denton, Maryland here... (Close to Easton), but I know the entire state very well as far as driving to places. I have family in Hanover, PA; Bel Air, MD; Linthicum Heights, MD; Glen Burnie, MD; Ocean City, MD; and Dover, DE. I worked in Annapolis for 2 years, Lived in Pasadena for 13 years, and I go Bay Fishing a lot and deep sea fishing a lot.
i will be around Waldorf/LaPlata/PG County area some time the end of this year to visit family, would like to meet some 3rd gen fans up that area, give me something good to do while im up there, other than sitting around being bored
taking the Accord up there, not the Maro
but the accord gets better MPGs (still not real good it a V6 ) but also with the chance of snow/ice/road salt i dont want the Maro up there, also dont want to put that many miles one it.....can bring pic and videos on my cell phone to share in the fun
I'm in Severna Park and CaliChevyLover is my brother. I know most of the state pretty well so I'm down for some car meets. My brother and I went to the meet on August 23rd at CiCi's pizza. For those that were there I was the '90 Firebird Formula with side pipes and the unmistakable licensce plates "BLKCWBY"...any body hit me up anytime when car meets are goin on and I'll do the same if I plan anything.
Moved from Waldorf, MD to Beltsville,MD i go to waldorf almost every weekend if not every other weekend, anybody in beltsville or laurel send me a pm, or if you work in silverspring near the target/kohls/staples send me a pm, im starting work in that area, trying to find the other thirdgen owners here, so far have only seen saleens everywhere
I'm outside of Baltimore. I am not exactly a owner of a car yet, but I am looking soon to find a black Firebird or Trans Am....82 would be my first choice, but through 88 I would willing to go with....I have wanted one for years! So I will definitely be checking the classified for cars nearby
My husband and I had a very good friend in Forest Hill....he and his family moved away sadly. I really miss having his car knowledge now :-( He personally had a 'Cuda (1970 I believe) I bugged him for the last three summers to get it out for a spin. All it needed was a new battery. Hopefully, I'll pick up lots of useful insights on here. Since I can't fix cars, hopefully I can find information on reliable mechanics. Ours gave up his business and since we both drive newer Hondas, there hasn't been any need for one. I can't wait to find a T/A or Firebird
