Car: 1990 RS, 1992 RS Engine: 305 TBI LO3, Carbed 350 Transmission: 700R4/700R4 Axle/Gears: 3.08 posi/3.42 posi | GM Carlisle June 20-22nd Hi all! My name is Jeff, and I live in Raleigh, NC.
I'll be heading to Carlisle, PA for the All GM Nationals and the 10th Annual Camaro Nationals on June 19th, 2008. It's a great event, I went last year. You'll be hard pressed to see so many f-bods in one spot anywhere else. There is a great swap meet, lots of vendors, burn-out pit, and bikini babes
Why am I bothering the mid-Atlantic folks?
Well, I'm going to be 'riding through' so to speak on Thursday, and I was wondering if anyone else from north of me was planning to attend. I thought it would be fun if any Camaros and/or Firebirds that were attending would want to meet up at certain locals along the way, and get the cars together for the trip - it would just be cool to have a group of 3rd gens riding along, and growing as we go.
If we plan now, we could have certain scheduled stops along the way, like Richmond, somewhere close to DC, etc. to 'collect' everyone along the way.
You can see details about the event at www.carsatcarlisle.com (click events, then All GM Nationals) and at www.americancamaro.org (click Camaro Nationals). For a $30 registration fee (voter participation class), your car can be IN THE SHOW all weekend - no parking hassles, free admission.
Post up here, or PM or email me if you think you'd like to get together along the way, and we'll see where it goes. I'm going regardless - reservations in hand and I can't wait!

You should bring it! It gets you in the gate for $25 for the entire weekend (cheaper than parking outside and walking in).
I took mine last year, registered as "participant vote" judging, and it was in bad shape! Big dents, paint peeling off, I had 2 of 4 rims polished .... but it was mine, I was proud of it, and screw anyone that didn't like it.
In fact, some jerk walked by my car and said" what a piece of junk" - the guy next to me stood up from his show car, came over, and told the guy it was nicer than his camaro, because it was a labor of love! |

| Re: GM Carlisle The good thing about the GM event is that you don't have to wade thru all the "other" stuff to get to the parts you need. The last time I went I saw the unveiling of the last Camaros with John Moss and he brought out a couple of his " big block toys" and made alot of noise |
