Funny, I was just down in Roanoke over the 4th of july weekend. It's one of our favorite places to visit! We made it to freedom blast on the 4th and went over to roaring run park on the 5th before we had to head back up. Hope to be back soon!


(Didn't bring my thirdgen of course this time. I had it down that way about 4 or so years ago though...)

Me and the wife live out in Thaxton. She owns a 89 Camaro and I drive a 92. You can't miss mine. Its the Teal one running around with the ground effects painted black. Hers isn't on the road yet but when I return from Iraq, hers will be up and moving and mine will be getting a much needed vacation. If you see the teal one around, its probably my wife, stop and say hi. I'm trying to get a club up so let her know about that.

uk how many teal ones there r here/ lol thieres 2 white ones, 3 reds, 3-4 bluess, 2 teals, a grey and i htink thats it. but i have seen it b4, it is nice, wuts in it? and i hitnk i saw it at crusie nite, that one or the other anywaz

I'm in Roanoke a lot but live in Salem. Use to have a white with red stripe heritage '92 a few years back. Sold it and then drove a red '91 with a LT1 for a little bit till I sold it a couple weeks ago.

If you have really seen mine, you wouldn't say it looked nice. She's a work in progress. I believe that Chevy did the wrong thing with the heritage package. I mean, come on, stripes and a wing, that's it? I'm currently working on a hideaway headlight idea. I'm not talking about just the headlights, I'm talking the whole pocket they sit in. Also got a 350 TBI about to be transplanted into it. I swear you can't miss my car. Big long scratches in the front bumper, black ground effects, its got a Camaro Performance decal on the windshield. Hood pins, all that stuff. I told my wife about the posts and she said she'll talk to anyone about it, but I could probaly tell you more about my car than I could about my wife.

hmm ya i remember seeing the white wit red strips...but only a rare few times, lol before i knew the camaro world. umm the red one, well i havent seen the cars in person, people arent so nice, to me anywaz. and thecaminator, haha ive seen a red one just like it bout 6 months ago, dont suppose it waz red before?

Yea, the thirdgens are few and far between around here. I might have seen your car around, do you have any pics of it? I use to take both cars to the Fast Freddy's car show in Salem a lot, before they shut it down. No one wants anyone to have any "non-green" fun round here anymore, it's such a pain to even find a good place to go 4wheeling.

the pic besides my name is my camaro. and unless you drove around at night you may not of seen it well i drove it to work when i worked at taco bell, seen a few 3rd gens come tho there before. i havent lived long in roanoke but i waz gona go there one day when i heard it got shut down, i waz so bumed. and tell me bout it, if the gov cant make money then its illegal...well guess thats what we get with the presisdents we have since clinton.

I should be out of Iraq before Christmas, maybe I'll have to post myself up on Williamson so I can flag all you guys down. My car was never red. My wife tells me about all the Camaros shes been seeing lately but she doesn't really have time to chase people down. It can usually be found off of Hershberger when shes at her moms house. Other than that, she doesn't drive it too much, said that she doesn't want to get to familiar with it just for me to take it away from her when I return. If you see one, and the license plate doesn't say "CAMM1E" on it, chances are it isn't mine.

lol ya good luck on willy, 3rd gens dont go there much for some reason, even tho they r better then half the cars there, its mostly 4ths gens there (booooo) but ill look 4 u if my can is gon by then, only 5k more to earn lol.

It's good to see some thirdgen action in the area. I don't have one now but I'm tring to find a good hardtop roller for an LS1 swap or buy one with a LSX already installed. I would be all for a local club, cruise night, or anything like that. I know there are some thirdgens in the Valley, we just need to get organized.

I'm in too, although it'll probably be a little bit before I've got a running camaro. I'm hoping if we do get together it'll snowball. I know if I saw two or three thirdgens sitting on the side of the road I'd definitley stop and see what's up.

Yeah, I seen quite a few when I was home in June. I'm all for pitching in on others cars but mine comes first for me. I got the tools and plenty of knowledge about 3rd gens, just ask and I'll tell all I know.

Well, guys and gals, Thanksgiving weekend is it! I'll be out there the weekend after Turkey Day so I'll be looking for everyone. I'll run down every Camaro I see to get them to join. V6, V8, RS, IROC, Z28, it dosn't matter. You got one, I want to meet you.

well i waz just crusing today, in roanoke, round willy and saw not 1, not 2, but 3 third gens, neighter of your guys eighter. a red rs, a white rs, and a black rs...hmm rs wheres the iroc? or haha just plain camaro like me? that reminds me whos got the yellow standard camaro?

Well, guys it looks like I'm gonna be without a thirdgen, for at least a little while. I'm going saturday to pickup a 2000 Z28. It's red with black stripes, 6 speed, t-tops, and has 52k miles. I sold out I know There is a possibility that I might buy another thirdgen up in Maryland but I have to see if I can move some stuff around to make the guy an offer.

Also, since you guys are local, I figured I'd give ya the first crack at some some thirdgen parts that I no longer need. I've got SFC, wonder bar, and tubular adjustable lower control arms. All UMI, all red, and all of them are brand new and have never installed.

Also got a set of SLP 1 3/4" shorty headers with Y pipe and an Eibach Pro Kit.

I just thought about selling them so I don't have pics but if any of you are interested I'll get some to ya. Not quite sure what to ask as far as price, but the sooner the stuff sells the soon we'll have a LS1 camaro running around Roanoke
