Crazy Ray's in Jessup

Was there today ... there's a black 3rd gen Trans Am with what appear to be 16" gold GTA wheels on the rear (fronts are the regular OEM silver wheels). There are also two LT1 4th gens -- a Camaro that looks like a box of Crayolas exploded on it and a Polo Green Firebird -- if anybody is looking for seats or LT1 swap stuff. I didn't check to see whether they were T56s or autos.

Search and you will find out 4th gen F-Body wheels will not fit on a 3rd gen w/o spacers. 4th gen F-Body front suspension will not fit on a 3rd gen w/o severe and drastic modification.

I didn't look at it close enough either. Just peered under the hood and saw it was an LT1.

Re: Crazy Ray's in Jessup

Just to update u guys goin to Ray's I went to 2 locations yesterday. Hawkins point had 3 3rd gens n 1 firebird w/ a full set of the gold metalflake wheels. Jessup only had 1 3rd gen, a decent berlinetta with a full interior parked way in the corner on the old ford side(probably why it still had alot of parts on it. Also remember 2 lt1 caprices at Hawkins point with motors still in them.

Re: Crazy Ray's in Jessup

i saw 4 fourth gens at jessup today, one of them with an LT1 in it, missing injectors and rail. 3 third gens, the berlinetta in the ford corner, and another blue RS with what looked like BRAND new coolant and wiper fluid reservoirs and BRAND new master cylinder and proportioning valve. motor was gone. and a couple others with nothing special, one camaro with a carb though.

Re: Crazy Ray's in Jessup

well just to update the crazy rays jessup location, my wife and i found a total of 5 third gens, but we could not find the berlinetta in the ford corner(it was our first time at a crazy rays so we had no idea where anything was), one was a white trans am, if i remember correctly it was in pretty decent shape the door panels(at least the one on the passenger door) was extreamly clean, it was already picked through but still had some good parts, there was a red RS a little further down with a v6 in it, it had good doors, unfortunately someone took off the diver side, broke the ground fx and laid the door on the rocks so its all scratched and dented, and good parts to the dash minus the gauge cluster, theres a white camaro with the dale earnhardt 3 on the hatch, it has ok rally wheels, inside is stripped didnt look at the motor, black trans am almost gutted didnt lift the hood, wheels were missing i believe, and another beat camaro behind the black trans am almost gutted but had atleast 2 of the aftermarket wheels still there, i didnt check the other side, but they looked pretty nice if you like um, all in all i went looking for a hatch pull down and left with a 3 dollar trim piece out of the red rs(i pulled the headlight knob trim peice cuz i didnt want to cut a hole in mine and this one had a switch already installed, 2 in one deal... score!) lol, anyways keep us posted, i constantly look for parts for my car

also all of them looked to have alot of good body parts, i was tempted to take the third brake light from the red rs because it was so nice, but i have my old one from my car and replaced it with a crappy one i did the "3rd brake light mod" to with my user name, so i left it for someone who needed it

They're a dime a dozen. Go find the truck section and pop the hood of every old chevy pickup and chevy step van, then look for the emissions sticker under the hood, and find one that says 5.7L/350. Usually this will reflect the block actually in the truck, but before hand find a website that will list off casting numbers of blocks chevy installed that year so you can be sure. However, I don't think anyone would really junk a 350 and put a 305 in its' place, especially in a truck.

On the third gen note, I was at Hawkins Point on sunday, and I lost count of all the third gens because there were so many. At least 10. There were a couple z28's (one of them TPI), but most were sport coupes (both birds and camaros). Some had pretty decent body panels and good interiors, while others were pretty done. Just a heads up.
