Since I bought the car four years ago, I've had it painted, had the entire car undercoated, it is rust free, bought a new 350 V-8 4 barrel Edelbrock carb engine, THM 350 turbo 3-speed heavy duty transmission,(both have about 4,000 miles on them) new tires, four bowling ball hubcaps, turbo cast 14" wheels, all new brakes and rotors, a complete Flow Master dual exhaust system, Edelbrock headers, Edelbrock Y pipe, Edelbrock valve covers, and Edelbrock air intake, the fiberglass Knight Rider nose from the Universal Studios mold from the show, a gull wing steering wheel, functional Knight Rider dash as on the third and fourth season cars, performance plugs and wires, new alternator, new heater blower, heater core, A/C condenser, all new hoses and belts, weatherstripping, rebuilt headlights, four driving lights in the front bumper, the functional red K.I.T.T. scanner with remote and sound, outdoor/indoor voice modulator to hear K.I.T.T.'s voice. new window struts. Reupholstered seats, new carpeting, new headliner, two tan door panels from another 1982 Trans Am. As far as the Knight Rider electronics in the dash, ALL gauges are accurate and functional. The entire dash lights up like New York City! I have the Pod Unit (unit beside steering wheel), an upper and lower console, (without the buttons as of now) a dvd/tv/aux player built into the dash that plays dvds. The sound runs through the car system. An upgraded cd player/radio from a 1998 Firebird. The original working power windows. New door locks. A new internal antenna. New blackout cover for tail lights. It is like getting a brand new vehicle! It will last you for years.
I haven't ordered the upper and lower console buttons yet.
The paint job is not "show quality." You may want to get it repainted sometime down the road, but it looks very nice right now. Here is a link to more pics of the car.A friend of mine took these for me. http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/inde...lbumId=2580454

the nose from the mold from universal studios? How'd ya manage that one?? its not a louisell, mKK, Yancy nose eh?
I'm sure you will sell it in whole, but if not, let me know because I am building a KITT too. I need the nose and real scanner and the dash and electronics. Oh yeah, bowling ball caps too (turbos would be nice) the red car is KIFT hehe..
The nose he is refering to is the 4th season nose, originally designed by George Barris (off a 1-3rd season nose) and recast by many, including MarksCustomKits, Louisell, Yancey, etc...
Car has a lot of work done to it... what's the price?
I've seen KITTS is ads from makers of all the digital stuff, but yours is REALLY f'n nice. I've always wondered though, do any of the extra digital guages readout anything usefull or are they solely for the look?
Yeah, the other gauges on there are for extra battery voltage, car alarm, and whatever you want to hook them up to. I got one hooked up to my distributer for when it goes bad the meter will go to red. They all have a use for something except for one that scans back and forth all the time saying that its in security check.
By the way, it will be at the charlotte autofair on the 3rd 4th and 5th. It will be for sale also. I've had people e-mail about the car but are not serious about it.
